Finally you can eat ketupat again 😊
I still struggle with making ketupat craft ehehe
We can serve ketupat with many things but my favorit is savory ketupat, cooked with coconut milk until tender

Sort:

Do you mean cooking the ketupat it self with coconut milk?
Or did you mean serving it with sayur lodeh 😊.

I mean cooking ketupat itself with coconut milk :)

Oh ok, that's interesting. I never did it that way. But now you just awakened my interest to try it out next time 😊.

I mean like this: https://www.primarasa.co.id/resep/ketupat-ketan

but needed time and a lot of effort to stir the ketupat in coconut milk to avoid being burnt in the bottom part :)

Ah if this is what you meant then it's actually not called Ketupat in Java but it's "Lepet" or "Lepat".
It's made of glutinous rice instead of the normal one then cooked only with coconut milk and salt. But normally it will be wrapped differently, and it's eaten more as a rice cake, as snacks and not to accompany the main dish.
Sometimes we also put some red beans in the rice.
Traditionally they would look like this:
