Roasted Macaroni Schotel

I feel very blessed lately, like getting kindness from everyone I meet. It has a huge impact on my body, getting new endorphins that finally make me excited to do whatever I do lately.

There was a moment when last month I had a difficulty, my father fell ill and it made me feel tight in mind and body, I wanted to do something because everything is easier now. My father has recovered even though he is no longer hospitalized, but his condition is getting better. It seems like I have to do something about that blessing.

In my mind there is only the word: 'sharing'. That is one of the habits that I do every time there is something hard to go through and then I have come out of that heavy feeling. Like being reborn and having to celebrate it by being grateful, this moment is a feeling that must make me rise to climb the next ladder in life.

It occurred to me to share food with the people I will meet today. I made a special food but it is quite easy to make. I don't have much time but I feel like I have to do this today, make macaroni schotel.

The Ingredients:

  • 250 gr macaroni
  • 150 gr sausage (you can use smoked beef to make it more delicious)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Oregano
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 types of cheese (parmesan, mozzarella and spread cheese)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter

Making Macaroni Schotel:

  • Although I didn't make much, I used 250 gr of raw macaroni to boil it. The easiest way to boil it is to heat the water until it boils and add a little oil to help the macaroni not stick too easily. Then, boil until ½ cooked. Once done, drain from the water and rinse with cold water.

  • Using the same pan, I sauteed the butter, after it melted, I added the chopped garlic. When the onion is slightly brown, add the chopped sausage and one tsp of flour into it and rinse with 200 ml of water or milk.

  • Add the cheese spread and stir until the cheese melts and there are no lumps of cheese. Also add salt, oregano and pepper, adjust the taste to suit.

  • After the cheese mixture looks cooked with air bubbles, add the boiled macaroni, then mix it to become one component.

  • Put it in aluminum foil and sprinkle cheese on top, such as mozzarella cheese and a little parmesan.

  • Bake or steam, I choose to bake and ready to eat when warm!

It tastes so 'cheesy' because I really like the rich taste of cheese! With just 3 types of cheese, your macaroni schotel is very easy for everyone to accept with its delicious taste!
