Greetings, my dear food-loving friends. Happy Mother's Day, I hope you are very well, in good health and well being and that it is a good week for all of you.
This Mother's Day was truly special for me because of the love I received throughout the day and the delicious pasticho that my son-in-law prepared to treat me to a dinner full of flavor. From the moment we arrived at my daughter's house, the aroma coming from the kitchen enveloped us and we already knew that we were in for a memorable dinner.
My son-in-law did a great job cooking this pasticho. It was simply perfect: generous layers of al dente pasta, well-seasoned Bolognese sauce, a creamy béchamel sauce and the cheese au gratin just right, golden brown and with that crunchy touch that makes it irresistible. You could notice the care with which it was made, and that made it even tastier.

Este Día de la Madre fue verdaderamente especial para mí por las muestras de cariño que recibí durante todo el día y por el delicioso pasticho que preparó mi yerno para agasajarme con una cena llena de sabor. Desde que llegamos a la casa de mi hija, el aroma que salía de la cocina nos envolvió y ya sabíamos que nos esperaba una cena memorable.
Mi yerno se lució cocinando este pasticho. Estaba simplemente perfecto: capas generosas de pasta al dente, salsa boloñesa bien sazonada, una bechamel cremosa y el queso gratinado en su punto justo, dorado y con ese toque crujiente que se hace irresistible. Se notaba el cariño con el que fue hecho, y eso lo hizo aún más sabroso.

We accompanied the pasticho with some crispy garlic toasted bread rolls that were very tasty. The garlic in the bread always gives a special touch that combines very well with this dish. In our evening, we toasted with a glass of Malbec wine that was the perfect pairing: its intense notes enhanced the flavors of the sauce and balanced the fat of the cheese.
I felt a deep gratitude for having my family together, for their gestures and for their presence. This dinner was a celebration of love, of togetherness and of the small moments that stay in the heart.
Acompañamos el pasticho con unos pancitos tostados con ajo que estaban crujientes que estaban muy sabrosos. El ajo en los pancitos siempre le da un toque especial que combina muy bien con este plato. En nuestra velada, brindamos con una copa de vino Malbec que fue el maridaje perfecto: sus notas intensas realzaron los sabores de la salsa y equilibraron la grasa del queso.
Sentí una profunda gratitud por tener a mi familia reunida, por sus gestos y por su presencia. Esta cena fue una celebración del amor, de la unión y de los pequeños momentos que se quedan en el corazón.
