Greetings dear friends of the @foodiesbeehive community, I hope you are enjoying a holy week.

Today I want to share with you a family outing to a place where they sell pizzas in a nice retro atmosphere inspired by the 60's and even the 90's.

This is the pizzeria “La abuela”, located on La Mata Avenue in the city of Cabudare in Venezuela. It is a place that we have been visiting for several years and I know its history almost since its beginnings.

In this place we used to buy a promotion of 2x1 in pizzas and they were pretty good, at that time my 23 year old daughter was small, so I'm talking about 20 years ago.

Well, yesterday we had another power outage at 7 pm and my daughter invited us to eat a pizza at Grandma's which was on promotion for 10 'dollars including a soda.

We arrived at the place and ordered the pizza, we sat down but my daughter told us to go up to the second level while we waited and I was really surprised.

At the top of the stairs there was a poster of Michael Jackson and when we got to the second floor, everything was set in my era: the sixties.

I felt like a fish in water and before I sat down I walked around the room taking pictures that made me go back in time and remember the music, TV shows, old implements and even the games of the time.

Each table had an image of an artist such as: John Lennon, Queen Marilyn Monroe and even in the bathroom there were posters alluding to that era.

When the pizza arrived I was also surprised because I was expecting something normal with sauce, cheese and some sausages, considering the price. But it wasn't like that, the pizza was family size, loaded with cheese, sauces, corn, pepperoni and ham, plus the soda was a liter which was enough for the three of us.

I think I ate 6 pieces and between my wife and daughter they finished off the other 10 pieces. It was one of the best pizzas I've ever had with the soft, thin dough and a flavor that explodes in your mouth.

We were very satisfied with the pizza and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant, so I recommend it 100 percent. They also have karaoke and sell beer on weekends. Definitely an excellent option to visit when it comes to eating and having a good time.

Disfrutando de una buena retro-pizza

Saludos estimados amigos de la comunidad de @foodiesbeehive, espero que estén disfrutando de una santa semana.

Hoy les quiero compartir una salida familiar a un sitio donde venden pizzas en un agradable ambiente retro inspirado en los años 60 y hasta los 90.

Se trata de pizzería "La abuela", ubicada en la avenida la mata de la ciudad de Cabudare en Venezuela. Es un local que desde hace varios años hemos visitado y conozco su trayectoria casi desde sus inicios.

En este sitio solíamos comprar una promoción de 2x1 en pizzas y eran bastante buenas, para esa época mi hija de 23 años estaba pequeña, así que les estoy hablando de hace aproximadamente 20 años atrás.

Pues bien, ayer nos hicieron otro corte de luz a las 7 de la noche y mi hija nos invitó a comer una pizza en la abuela que estaba en promoción de 10 ´dolares incluyendo un refresco.

Llegamos al sitio y pedimos la pizza, nos sentamos pero mi hija nos dijo que subiéramos al segundo nivel mientras esperábamos y de verdad que me llevé una gran sorpresa.

Al subir las escaleras había un poster de Michael Jackson y cuando llegamos al segundo piso, todo estaba ambientado con mi época: los años sesenta.

Me sentí como pez en el agua y antes de sentarme recorri toda la sala tomando fotografías que me hacía retroceder en el tiempo y recordar la música, los programas de televisión, implementos antiguos y hasta los juegos de la época.

Cada mesa tenía una imágen de algú artista como: Jhon Lennon, Queen Marilyn Monroe y hasta en el baño habían posters alusivos a dicha época.

Cuando llegó la pizza también me sorprendió porque esperaba algo normal con salsa, queso y algunos embutidos, tomando en cuenta el precio. Pero no fue así, la pizza era tamaño familiar cargada de queso, salsas, maíz, pepperoni y jamón. además el refresco era de un litro que perfectamente alcanzó para los tres.

Creo que comí 6 pedazos y entre mi esposa e hija acabaron con los otros 10 pedazos. Fue una de las mejores pizzas que he comido con la masa suave y delgada y un sabor que explota en la boca.

Quedamos muy satisfechos con la pizza y con todo el ambiente del restaurant, así que se los recomiendo al 100 por ciento. También tienen karaoke y venden cervezas los fines de semana. Definitivamente es una excelente opción para visitar cuando se trata de comer y pasarla bien.
