Everything is in Thailand, I think there are so many experiences that can be explored in this country because it has a diverse culture. There are so many activity that can be do in Thailand, only one thing that can not be done is playing with snow here. Of course, I'm just kidding!
Although, I am only here for a few days, I really like the city of Bangkok and it's amazing, everything its fun here. A very lively city! Like never sleeping for 24 hours. There are always attractions that can be visited if you want. That's life in Bangkok. You don't need to worry if you feel bored.
Like this time, I was hungry at 9 pm. I should have just slept, but, not far from the hotel there is one of the biggest places in Thailand, a night market that is second to none. Jodd's Fair.
The last time I was here was 2 years ago, at that time I knew that Jodd's Fair was not in this place, I found out and sure enough they moved some time ago because of a fire incident. One of the places that is on the list of ‘must visit when in Bangkok’. Am I not being too excessive?
There are so many stalls and types of food sold. This is worthy of being called a trap, because it costs a lot of money! But don't worry, it's not too expensive and still affordable for backpackers like me. Because there are so many foods, I had to go around this place 3 times until I was really sure.
It's a bit strange but I was first curious about this one food. Squid shot and squid sashimi. Even though the merchant's writing was like that, what I bought was a bottle of dancing shrimp. What does that mean?
Let me explain a little. So, in one glass there are small shrimps where they are harvested and then given Thai sauce which tastes very sour, sweet and slightly aromatic from coriander leaves. Like Thai sauce which is specifically for seafood. Really, the shrimp in the glass are dancing inside and I think this must be finished quickly. As for the taste? I highly recommend you to try this at Jodd Fair.
Walk around and see insects that are fried and sold. Insects like cockroaches, caterpillars, crickets and the scariest, its scorpio! I felt like I was going crazy just looking at it.
The next merchant is about squid. Squid made into pancakes is really the most delicious among the others. Why? Because this food is filling and has a rich taste, especially because it uses fresh squid and the right taste.
Jodd fair is a very fun place, but I should have come earlier to get a seat here. The very limited number of seats makes us have to compete with other people, but I have to admit this place is very crowded!
Before going home I saw something strange but actually normal here. A merchant stall selling crocodiles. Omg! Even crocodiles don't have the power here as a ferocious predator in the river!
Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
