Hello Hivers, and hello to all the members of @worldmappin., I am here, again, to share with you another astounding spot/ tourist destination that you would love to know.
When someone from the Zamboanga Peninsula hears the name "Eriberta", the first thing that always comes to their mind is the ice-cold free-flowing water spring resort in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. If you want to beat the summer heat, there's no place more refreshing than Eriberta Spring Resort. And take note, Eriberta is not only well-known in the locality but also known in some parts of Mindanao. Ample of people cool off at Eriberta Spring, coming from the neighboring regions. Eriberta Spring Resort is uniquely located in a valley between two mountains, creating a natural bowl-like formation that is somehow like a ladle when viewed from above. The resort is perfectly situated at the very center of this landscape.

How to get here?
From the heart of Pagadian City, take the bus going to Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, for 45 minutes. From Molave Bus Terminal, get off the bus and ask a motorcycle or if you feel like riding a trike cab, you can have it as an option too. Ask the driver to take you to Eriberta Spring Resort, they know exactly where it is and will take you there in another 30 minutes. I am not pretty sure about the fare, but I guess it is around 50 to 100 pesos (1USD-2USD) only.
How much is the entrance fee? What meets you at the entrance?
An environmental fee of 50 pesos (1 USD) per head for adults and 35 pesos per head for kids is all you have to pay to check in at the resort. Inside is a huge parking space under the big acacia and mahogany trees, and don't forget the refreshing, cold breeze wrapping you with a chill. Another thing near the entrance gate is the huge robots that not only the kids will enjoy taking photos of themselves with the robots, but adults do too.
*Kids are enjoying the cold, free-flowing spring water. This is near the water source. *
Where's the cold spring then?
You must be very excited now. Another small portal will lead you to the stairways downward. And as you take your steps down, you will see not just 3 or 5 swimming pools with free-flowing water, but if I am not mistaken, it's 10. There are big pools down there, and there are mini pools too for kids, and the place is so huge.
What about the amenities?
On one side of the mountain, facing the spring below, you'll find around a hundred mushroom-shaped cottages. These charming huts bring an amazing view of the resort, while the opposite side is another mountain, which serves as a natural backdrop, creating Eriberta’s serene and enclosed setting.
There are two slides where you can enjoy sliding and splashing into the water. These slides add more excitement, fun, and adventure. A big boat where you can find yourselves as Rose and Jack of the Titanic is a good spot for taking photographs.
One of the remarkable things about Eriberta Cold Spring is the water curtain. It is a favorite for taking breathtaking photos. The water curtain looks like a really big white curtain from afar, yet it is water flowing from a big rock formation with a cave under. Hiding behind the curtain will make you invisible from the outside. Interesting, right?
Overnight dormitories where you can spend a night with your family, friends, or loved ones are quite affordable, while their kitchen serves delightful foods and some lutong-bahay dishes (Filipino foods). A live band will perform on Saturday nights, and foam parties happen on some weekends too. I can't tell you exactly all the beautiful things you can see in Eriberta, it's beyond words, it's beyond the photos, it's best to drop there for you to see what I mean.
What is the best thing about Eriberta?
The free-flowing ice-cold water is the best. You will not worry about being contaminated with water, just like regular swimming pools, the water will pass you once, and it will go down directly to the river. Its chills will relax and refresh your soul during hot weather days, plus the nature vibes, which are the best healers of weary hearts and minds.
If you are still with me at this point, thank you very much. I hope to see you in Eriberta soon. Thank you 😌.
