Hello hivers and foodie lovers out there! How are you guys? Today I'm gonna share something which is a unique dish in the city but common in the rural areas. This kind of dish is not really on the list but I had an experiment today whether this is a good recipe or not. I love experimenting recipes out from my kitchen and backyard. I have cauliflower, carrot and a cabbage and instead of making then a salad or steamed I made an experiment for it in a fried with the Scabetche fish I made yesterday. So let's start cooking!
Here are the ingredients for this recipe
Cauliflower
Cabbage
Carrot
Onion
Garlic
Scabetche
Salt
Soy sauce
Msg
The first thing to do is to wash all the vegetables and spices. My mother always told me to wash the vegetables before cutting them into pieces so that the vitamins it contain will not be washed away after cutting it. Then slice it accordingly. I also pinch the fish into tiny pieces making sure there is no bone on it. It was so fun slicing these vegetables, I can feel a relaxing and satisfying mood listening to the cracks and crisps.
Then ready the pan. First thing to do is making sure there's no left water droplets then pour just a little oil. Sautee garlic and onions until it turns golden brown. Then add the shredded fish from Scabetche. Then add one cup of water. Add the soy sauce, msg and salt.
Then add the vegetables from the carrots, cauliflower and the cabbage.
Mix it well and leave it there boiled for 3 minutes in a medium to low heat. After 3 minutes taste it and if it's good on your tongue it's ready to serve!
Then here's the final look on my recipe. This is so much delicious and healthy. I love vegetables so much that I always prefer to make vegetable recipe.
Sometimes vegetables are just in the backyard but this time I bought it from the market because these kind of vegetables cannot be planted in our yard. They are expensive here in the island but meat is times 3 expensive so I prefer vegetables all the time.
Eating vegetables everyday sometimes odd for me. Like there are certain times that I wanna eat chicken, pork or beef. Since I lived here in the island starting from February I haven't eaten beef. I had eaten pork once and chicken twice. Aside from it's very expensive you can't buy 1/4 kilo for your cravings hahaha.
Everything is now expensive that's why I always eat vegetables and if I could eat meat that means I have extra money. It sounds funny but cravings are our sacrifices and paid with hard work so it's okay to eat expensive less often.
That's all for today hivers! I hope you like my recipe. I really like reading your recipes here. I'm looking forward about vegetables recipe so I can have some ideas to for our next meal. Almost all are new to me. Thank you so much and have a great day ahead!
