Galunggong Fish Mini Patties

Your paragraph text (6).gif

Hello, how are you? My mom went to the market yesterday and she requested me to cook patties, but a healthy version instead of using ground beef, I used Galunggong fish as the meat. Even though the cooking process is a little bit long but the finished product is worth the time.

The first time I tasted this, my lola cooked it for me, and I love to dip it with banana ketchup mixed with mayonnaise, the classic dip for it. I love to put it in "Pandecito" and fill it with the dip I made. It is good to remember those things. Have you tried Galunggong Patties? How was it?

Ingredients I Used:

0.JPG

  • 8 Galunggong Fish
  • Hot Water
  • Half Tsp Rock Salt & Ground Pepper
  • 2 Medium Carrots
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Bulb Galic
  • 3 Red Onion
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp All-in-1 Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dried Parsley Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • Half Cup of Cooking Oil

Prepping The Ingredients!

I put the Galunggong Fish in a pot. Make sure the pot is big enough to hold the fish.

I put in enough hot water.

After that, I added half a tsp of rock salt and ground pepper.

  1. I let it boil for a minute, then transfer it to a clean plate.

And then I remove all the fish bones. To make the process clean, I have a plate for the cleaned fish, and then for the fish bones I have removed.

After that, I added 2 tbsp of soy sauce.

22.JPG

Then I added 3 tbsp of oyster sauce.

23.JPG

24.JPG

Then I added about 1 tbsp of sesame oil.

25.JPG

26.JPG

Then I added 1 tsp of all-in-one seasoning.

27.JPG

28.JPG

Then I added 1 tsp ground pepper.

29.JPG

30.JPG

Then I added 1 tbsp dried parsley leaves.

31.JPG

32.JPG

Then I added 1 egg.

33.JPG

34.JPG

Then I added 3 tbsp cornstarch.

35.JPG

36.JPG

Then mix everything until well combined.

Cooking Time!

37.JPG

38.JPG

In a hot pan, I added about half a cup of cooking oil.

39.JPG

40.JPG

To make the mini patties, I used a 1 tbsp measuring spoon to scoop the mixture.

41.JPG

42.JPG

Then I put that mixture into the pan.

43.JPG

44.JPG

And then I press the mini patties using the back of the spoon.

45.JPG

46.JPG

Let it fry until it turns this brown color. After that, I flip the mini patties on the other side to cook the other part.

47.JPG

48.JPG

When the patties are cooked, I place them on the side of the pan to let the excess oil drip down. And I started to add more patties to the cooking oil.

Oh how I miss this, Mommy D made this with leftovers naman. Sarap nyan e-ulam sa rice and with ketchup, it's the best if it's a bit crunchy too. Uwu

Oo lalo sa banana ketchup, mas masarap talaga kapag may crunchiness.
