Hello, how are you? My mom went to the market yesterday and she requested me to cook patties, but a healthy version instead of using ground beef, I used Galunggong fish as the meat. Even though the cooking process is a little bit long but the finished product is worth the time.
The first time I tasted this, my lola cooked it for me, and I love to dip it with banana ketchup mixed with mayonnaise, the classic dip for it. I love to put it in "Pandecito" and fill it with the dip I made. It is good to remember those things. Have you tried Galunggong Patties? How was it?
Ingredients I Used:
- 8 Galunggong Fish
- Hot Water
- Half Tsp Rock Salt & Ground Pepper
- 2 Medium Carrots
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Bulb Galic
- 3 Red Onion
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp All-in-1 Seasoning
- 1 tsp Ground Pepper
- 1 tbsp Dried Parsley Leaves
- 3 tbsp Cornstarch
- Half Cup of Cooking Oil
Prepping The Ingredients!
I put in enough hot water.
After that, I added half a tsp of rock salt and ground pepper.
- I let it boil for a minute, then transfer it to a clean plate.
And then I remove all the fish bones. To make the process clean, I have a plate for the cleaned fish, and then for the fish bones I have removed.
Here are all the ingredients I prepared.
After that, I processed all the veggies I prepared.
Then I put the cooked Galunggong into the processed veggies.
Mix them until well combined.
After that, I added 2 tbsp of soy sauce.
Then I added 3 tbsp of oyster sauce.
Then I added about 1 tbsp of sesame oil.
Then I added 1 tsp ground pepper.
Then I added 1 tbsp dried parsley leaves.
Then I added 1 egg.
Then I added 3 tbsp cornstarch.
Then mix everything until well combined.
Cooking Time!
In a hot pan, I added about half a cup of cooking oil.
To make the mini patties, I used a 1 tbsp measuring spoon to scoop the mixture.
Then I put that mixture into the pan.
And then I press the mini patties using the back of the spoon.
Let it fry until it turns this brown color. After that, I flip the mini patties on the other side to cook the other part.
When the patties are cooked, I place them on the side of the pan to let the excess oil drip down. And I started to add more patties to the cooking oil.
After that, I plated them onto the plate.
Happy Eating, everybody!! :D
