La pizza siempre ha sido una de nuestras comidas favoritas y normalmente solemos prepararlas en casa a nuestro gusto pero si se presenta la oportunidad de comer fuera de casa no nos negamos y en este caso fue eso lo que hicimos. Desde hace tiempo teníamos en mente salir a comer a una pizzeria y de hecho conseguimos una muy cerca de casa, pero esta semana tuvimos planes que surgieron de último momento y como resultado terminamos comiendo pizza pero en un lugar totalmente diferente.
Aprovechando que el jueves era nuestro día libre nos fuimos el miércoles en la noche al Centro Comercial Jockey Plaza a pasear y con ideas de comprar un edredón. Cuando hicimos nuestra compra pensamos en comer algo para no llegar cocinando y caminando por la feria de comida del centro comercial vimos muchísimas opciones pero como teníamos ganas de comer pizza desde hace tiempo nos enfocamos en buscar un lugar donde pudiéramos comerlas. Habían unos cuantos locales que ofrecían pizza pero cuando vimos que había un Pizza Hut no dudamos en entrar allí.
Pizza has always been one of our favorite foods, and we usually prepare it at home to our liking, but if the opportunity to eat out presents itself, we don't say no, and in this case, that's what we did. We've been thinking about going out to eat at a pizzeria for a while, and in fact, we found one very close to home. However, this week, we had last-minute plans, and as a result, we ended up eating pizza in a totally different place.
Taking advantage of the fact that Thursday was our day off, we went to the Jockey Plaza Shopping Center on Wednesday night to walk around and with the idea of buying a comforter. When we did our shopping, we thought about eating something so we wouldn't have to cook all the time. Walking through the mall's food court, we saw tons of options, but since we'd been craving pizza for a while, we focused on finding a place where we could eat it. There were a few places that offered pizza, but when we saw a Pizza Hut, we didn't hesitate to go there.
Desde afuera vimos en una pantalla algunas de las promociones que tenían disponibles pero al final decidimos entrar para ver mejor el menú. Viendo un poco sus opciones nos decidimos por una pizza grande de pepperoni y requeson por un valor de R$ 87.90 (unos 15.35$ aproximadamente), adicionalmente pedimos un par de bebidas, en este caso fue Coca Cola que a diferencia de otros lugares aquí lo vendían por vaso y no la botella completa. Pedimos 2 vasos de 400 ml por un valor de R$ 9.90 cada uno (1.7$ aproximadamente) que por cierto fue bastante costoso pero no podíamos comer sin una bebida, por lo que no tuvimos opción.
From outside we saw on a screen some of the promotions they had available but in the end we decided to go in to get a better look at the menu. After looking around at their options we decided on a large pepperoni and cottage cheese pizza for R$ 87.90 (approximately $15.35). We also ordered a couple of drinks, in this case it was Coca Cola which unlike other places here they sold it by the glass and not the full bottle. We ordered two 400 ml glasses for R$ 9.90 each (approximately $1.70) which by the way was quite expensive but we couldn't eat without a drink, so we had no choice.
Luego de pagar nos dieron nuestra factura y solo debíamos esperar a ser llamados para recibir nuestro pedido, así que mientras esperábamos buscamos una mesa donde nos sentamos a pasar el rato. El lugar estaba prácticamente vacío, solo había un par de mesas ocupadas, por lo que no fue difícil conseguir un lugar donde sentarnos a comer.
After paying, we received our bill and just had to wait to be called to receive our order, so while we waited, we looked for a table to sit and hang out. The place was practically empty; there were only a couple of tables occupied, so it wasn't difficult to find a place to sit and eat.
El ambiente es bastante agradable y acogedor, con un estilo bastante sencillo pero que recuerda inevitablemente al típico lugar de pizzas incluso con sus colores y diseños.
The atmosphere is quite pleasant and cozy, with a fairly simple style but inevitably reminiscent of a typical pizza place, even with its colors and designs.
Al cabo de unos minutos nos llevaron a la mesaun par de platos, unos sobres con servilletas y un par de tenedores y cuchillos, estos envueltos en papel que a mi parecer es una forma más bonita e higiénica de conservar los utensilios para comer.
After a few minutes, a couple of plates, some envelopes with napkins and a couple of forks and knives were brought to the table, these wrapped in paper, which in my opinion is a nicer and more hygienic way to store eating utensils.
Solo tuvimos que esperar unos 15 minutos para recibir nuestra pizza pero créanme que valió la pena la espera porque tan solo con verla se me antojaba muchísimo. De tamaño era bastante grande y estaba compuesta por un total de 12 rebanadas que aunque no eran muy grandes estaban bien cargadas.
We only had to wait about 15 minutes to receive our pizza, but believe me, it was worth the wait because just looking at it made me crave it. It was quite large and consisted of a total of 12 slices, which, while not very large, were quite filling.
Tenia una buena cantidad de pepperoni y de requeson aun mas y eso se notaba cuando tomábamos una rebanada. La masa me encantó, pues no era gruesa pero tampoco muy fina, era de un grosor perfecto y además estaba suave, esponjosa pero a la vez con un toque crujiente, toda una combinación de texturas que definitivamente amé.
It had a good amount of pepperoni and even more cottage cheese, and you could really taste it when you took a slice. I loved the dough, as it wasn't thick but not too thin either; it was the perfect thickness and was also soft, spongy, but also had a touch of crunch—a combination of textures that I absolutely loved.
Me gustó mucho que en la mesa teníamos varias opciones de salsas y condimentos en sobres para agregar a nuestra pizza si lo deseábamos, entre ellas mayonesa, mostaza, orégano, pimienta y sal. Nos animamos a colocarle mostaza a la pizza y nos encantó el sabor.
I really liked that we had several sachets of sauces and condiments on the table to add to our pizza if we wanted, including mayonnaise, mustard, oregano, pepper, and salt. We even tried adding mustard to the pizza and loved the flavor.
Nuestra primera experiencia comiendo en Pizza Hut fue en definitiva muy buena, es algo que siempre había querido hacer, probar la comida de esta franquicia y ya el día de hoy esta tachada en mi lista.
Our first experience eating at Pizza Hut was definitely very good, it's something I've always wanted to do, try the food from this franchise and today it's crossed off my list.
