Hello great hivers!
A warmly greetings from me to the lovers of food hub; it is good to be back again after a while. My phone broke down and I wasn't able to show up here for months.
l will love to share with you the processes which I took to prepare this delicious this jollof rice and the recipes involved. Although it's been a while due to some challenges one after the other but I give God the glory cause I'm now fully back to entertain you guys with my local dishes.
I was craving for this jollof rice since last week but I didnt have the opportunity to do so due to the money I was having won't be enough for it, but miracle has happened. I got up went to the market to get the foods stuff cause time waits for no one.
ingredients
rice
water
tomatoes
pepper
onions
Vegetable oil
crayfish
Dried fish
ginger and garlic
maggi
salt
Step 1:
This is when I bring out my tomatoes, pepper, onions, ginger and garlic to slice, cause I prefer slicing it than using morta to pound.
Step 2:
I brough out my rice to select out the stones and some dirts since it was a locally produced rice. This type of rice is believed to be the best cause it has natural taste.
after selecting it, I brough out my water to wash it before putting it in a pot. This is to per boil it and remove excess starch.
After it was done, I poured out the boiled rice in a separate pot.
Step 3:
At this stage, I put my pot on fire, then brought out my groundnut oil, onions, followed by ginger and garlic with maggi and other spices to fry them in order to get some natural taste.
Step 4
I fried for some minutes before adding my tomatoes and pepper and fried for 3 minutes and then I added water with my crayfish and dried fish to boil for some minutes before adding my rice, then I covered it for some minutes to allow it to boil.
Step 5:
This is the final step when my food was done, I brought the pot down and I served in a plate. I decided to slice a tomatoe, pepper and onions to makes it look more yummy and attractive.
Well garnished rice.
food is ready.
