Some nights are designed to be memorable, and last Sunday was one of them. After our usual Sunday meeting, we received an exciting invitation from a Korean family friend (the same one I mentioned in my last blog) to visit their restaurant and hotel in Bogo. We didn’t even have to think twice because let's admit it, no one would ever turn down a night of delicious food, music, and wonderful company.

K-Town Cheongdam is located in Bogo. It is a beautiful place that brings Korean flavor to Cebu. For me, it's a very good place to eat, drink, and unwind. Whether you're craving beautiful Korean foods and beverages or simply want a nice spot to hang out with friends. It also features a relaxing rooftop where you can enjoy various Korean servings, imported drinks, and excellent vibes all night. (Based on my own experience 😃)
Dessert is the only item on the menu seen in the photo. There is also a menu for dinner but I forgot to take a picture of it.
Of course, since the owners (our closest family friend) of this business have resided here for over 18 years, they have begun to adapt to several Filipino cultures, one of which is videoke. So we never had a hard time being with them.
A Taste of Korean Hospitality
These Korean friends of ours are not only kind and inviting but also very successful. As I have mentioned earlier, they are the owners of this hotel and restaurant in Bogo, so they know how to arrange an unforgettable gathering. When we arrived at 6:00 p.m., we were greeted warmly and offered a variety of Korean snacks and drinks to enjoy.
What we enjoy about their personalities is that, despite their wealth, they never belittle us. They even become our best friends since they are so friendly. I don't recall a single occasion where they showed off their wealth since they are humble. They even toured us around their hotel.
As we got inside, we couldn't stop admiring K-Town Cheongdam. The elegant and comfortable design, together with the friendly staff and servers, made it ideal for memorable events. Whether you want a relaxing dinner or an exciting night out, this restaurant offers it all (you'll notice it too if you go there).
Singing and Dancing
As I mentioned in my last blog, karaoke is an essential aspect of Filipino culture, and no night is complete without it. So we each chose our favorite songs to sing. It didn’t matter if we hit the right notes or not haha for as long as we can sing, then go ahead (sing your hearts out haha).🤣
At first, some of us were shy and hesitated to sing. But as the night went on, the music took over. Even those who said they couldn't sing grabbed the microphone and started singing. 🤣
Before we knew it, it was already 2:00 a.m. And honestly, we were very exhausted, but we enjoy it anyway. The gathering was full of music, delicious food, and wonderful company. It was the type of night that stayed with us and made me smile even days after. I felt like being a K-drama lead for the whole night hahaha kidding aside.
We immediately said our goodbyes to our generous friends. As it is said, some nights may end, but the memories stay. They remind us that the best moments in life aren't always planned, they sometimes come when you're around people who make you feel alive.
