For today's blog, I will be sharing another homemade recipe. When I have enough time, exploring and creating recipes at home is one of my favorite pastimes. It made me love the kitchen so much with the ingredients I only have at home. I want to serve healthy food to my parents so they will become healthier as they age, and my nieces will learn to love eating vegetables while still young.
For this blog, I want to prepare a mixed vegetable recipe with a portion of ground pork to balance the taste.
Here are the needed ingredients:
250g squash
2 pcs. medium size carrots
1pc small size chayote
4pcs. small size bell pepper
175g ground pork
1 pc small size red onion
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
oil
food seasonings
Steps to my homemade mixed vegetable recipe:
🍲 Wash all the needed ingredients properly before slicing and peeling. Thoroughly wash the ground pork to remove unnecessary fats. Then set aside.
🍲 Peel off the skin of the chayote and slice it into smaller portions.
🍲 Slice the squash into smaller ones, then slice it into tiny cubes.
🍲 Peel the carrots' skin, then slowly slice the carrots into cube form.
🍲 Prepare the bell pepper, remove the seeds inside, slice into diagonal size, and prepare the red onion and garlic. Slowly peel the garlic skin and mince. Then, slice the red onion into smaller ones.
🍲 Slowly add the minced garlic and onions into the boiling pot with a small portion of oil. If the garlic and onion turn golden brown, slowly add the bell pepper. Then set aside for a while.
🍲 On a separate cooking pot, pour a small portion of oil, then put the ground pork. Slowly fry the ground pork until it turns golden brown.
🍲 Mixed the fried ground pork and the fried seasonings. Pour 2 tablespoons of soy sauce into the mixture.
🍲 After 2 mins. of mixing, slowly add the vegetables into the cooking pot. Slowly mix the vegetables until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly. Place 1 cup of tap water into the mixture. Cook the veggies for around 15 minutes on medium heat, until the veggies are soft. Then add the seasoning.
🍲 Remove it from the pan then serve it to your family.
