Turkey Shepherd's Pie

in #food11 days ago

Hi Beautiful!

It's a beautiful day today, hot, hot, hot 24 C!

As much as I love that summer is here, there was a forest fire too close to home yesterday! Like 2 mins by car close! The community forest where my family and I would walk to whenever the weather was nice. It was really scary. Some who reside near the forest were even informed to evacuate. Morning is still around 2-4 C tho! Crazy!

I know in 2023-2024, regardless Winter, the ground under the snow were still on fire. Yep. When we got snow dump, it could be knee high if not more, yet they didn't help at all. Then 2024-2025, Winter was short and mild, so yep, the bush fires will be expected, but we didn't think it would be this early 😕

For today's recipe, it's inspired by Shepherd's Pie, but I used ground turkey. Worked just as delicious!

24C is so not hot XD

It might be somewhat pleasant as long as the wind isn't cold XD

I just ate some cottage pie last night (was leftover from the day before and I think we have yet more leftover, noms!), I'm kind of curious about this version but also trying to remember if I like turkey ^_^;

I love cottage pie!
