You guys know that I love to make my own bread. I usually do it the long way and use my oven to bake it. I bought this bread maker a few years ago but only ever used it once because the experience wasn't great at the time. To be fair, I probably didn't get the ingredients right and picked the wrong program.

Talking of programs, it has 12 different settings to choose from depending on the time of bread one wants to make. I could probably do a better job picking the right one, and getting the ingredients right now that I have some experience with bread making. I may give it another go soon.

This is also a lot easier to clean than my oven haha. That's another plus. It probably also takes less energy to make a loaf of bread because of the efficiency of the way it delivers heat. A lot of heat is wasted in an oven, which continues to be hot even after the baking is over. The oven is ancient technology.

Talking of ovens, I'd love to have an outdoor clay oven. I envy people in places like Italy and Spain that have them. They're also popular in Asia and Africa where people cook outdoors a lot more than we do here. Nothing like a nice smokey clay oven. Everything just tastes different coming out of that. The closest I can get to that here is my BBQ in the garden haha.
