Biji Salak (Indonesian Glutinous Dessert Porridge)

Hi Lovelies!

After almost 2 weeks of being warm, Winter is slowly coming back again, boo-hoo. Mother nature always loves teasing us, northern areas. Here is a week or two Spring-like weather, aaaaannndd Winter is back 😅

My husband sold his 3 year-old car, yesterday. He got it brand new, close to 9K mileage only, and he sold it super cheap. Well he was hoping for more, but the dealership didn't wanna give more, as it's a manual car, not many people drive manual cars, especially not the young ones. Kinda sad. He hardly drove the car as he works from home, and whenever we went out for those 3 years, I'd rather us driving mine instead, as mine is automatic with AC 😁. So yeah, hardly driven, only in town, hence low mileage and very pristine still, so yeah, kinda sad that he couldn't get more for what it should have worth for. We bought a matching car, mini cars. So yeah, sad 🥴

Anyhoo! This following dessert porridge is one of my favorites 😍

Well if you'd been over here when we needed one we might have bought it, Eldest is trying to get his manual license (he loves driving manual) but we always have to epic battle with him to make him go for lessons as he doesn't want us to pay for lessons as they're expensive but he refuses to go out in J's car because apparently it's uncomfortable and hurts his back and he doesn't like driving my car because it's big, the windscreen frames are massive and it's an auto.

I'm pretty sure this is one of the dishes that I avoid because it's sticky and I have tactile issues with sticky things XD seems like i t would be really nice on a cold day :) It's getting cooler over here, I'm wearing jumper and trackies right now though the day is supposed to get warmer.

I havent met any young canadians, but one, who knows how to drive manual here. So differ because most Asians start with manual before driving matic 😁

Yes. Asian dessert porridge always slimey and sticky...just how i LOVE it 🤣
