The first debate we won is that THE AREPA IS VENEZOLAN, so forgive me my Colombian brothers but they don't even know how to prepare it and eat it as it is heh,heh,heh...
The arepa is our daily bread. We can combine it with many toppings, being the favorites: butter, cheese, meat, chicken, fish and some rare ones like sauces or grains. It also serves to accompany other meals and there are people who eat it all day long 😉.
To celebrate this day, @nulemus and I went to one of our favorite places because we found everything we needed to eat and drink and since their food fair is very wide, we knew we would surely find what we were looking for.
In my case I ordered one with chorizo as I wanted something different; I wanted it with more sauce but accompanied by vegetables which were very tasty. My friend decided on carne mechada and told me that she had been wanting to eat it that way for a long time. Although she didn't know about today's celebration, it served to kill her craving.
The price was not so high and we were happy with our small but nice celebration.

La arepa es nuestro pan de cada día. La podemos combinar con muchos contornos, siendo los favoritos: mantequilla, queso, carne, pollo, pescado y algunas poco frecuentes como salsas o granos. También sirve para acompañar otras comidas y existen personas que la consumen durante todo el día 😉.
Para celebrar este día, @nulemus y yo nos fuimos a uno de nuestros sitios favoritos porque encontramos todo lo necesario para comer y beber y como su feria de comida es muy amplia, sabíamos que seguramente encontraríamos lo que buscamos.
En mi caso pedí una con chorizo ya que quería algo distinto; lo quería con mas salsa pero acompañado de vegetales que estaban muy sabrosos. Mi amiga decidió carne mechada y me dijo que tenía tiempo con ganas de comerla así. Aunque no sabía de la celebración de hoy, le sirvió para matar el antojo.
El precio no fue tan elevado y quedamos conformes con nuestra celebración pequeña pero bonita.
