Today I want to share a simple and easy to make food recipe. Do you know jackfruit? Jackfruit is similar to durian with a spiny outer skin and a yellow fruit inside with seeds in each fruit. Usually, apart from being a fruit, we use jackfruit to top drinks such as iced high, mixed ice, fruit soup, cendol, etc. Because its characteristic fragrant smell is very suitable to be combined with fresh drinks. But this time I will make jackfruit into a snack wrapped in flour and fried.
Immediately, we will prepare all the materials we need.
Preparation
- 200 grams of jackfruit have been weighed without the seeds
- 70-90 gr wheat flour (adjust according to the desired texture, maybe more if you want a dense texture like pancakes)
- 10 gr rice flour (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- Pinch of salt
- 50-70 grams of granulated sugar (you can adjust it according to your taste and adjust it to the taste of the jackfruit, if you feel it is sweet enough, you only need to add a little sugar)
- 100 ml water
How to make:
Prepare all ingredients
Peel the jackfruit from the seeds and cut according to your taste.
Mix the flour, rice flour, vanilla powder, salt and sugar until evenly mixed
Add water little by little until you get the desired texture. Be careful when pouring the water. I made it too runny so I added a little more flour.
Once the flour mixture is ready, add the jackfruit and then fry in hot oil until cooked.
Fried jackfruit is ready to be served to accompany your afternoon while drinking hot tea.You can add toppings such as grated cheese, chocolate sauce, sweetened condensed milk according to your taste
