EATING HEALTHY IS ALWAYS THE BEST CHOICE

Good day everyone. This is my first time posting in @scifimultiverse community. I thank the admins who brought about this creative prompt for us to write on. I do hope you all enjoy my entry.

Food, the one most important thing we need as humans to grow healthy, thrive and function effectively.Food is nothing to joke about. This is because the quality of food you take into your body reflects on your outward physical appearance. And as such, I always prefer eating healthy and quality foods over the quantity. I know for a fact that the kind of food I eat plays a vital role in keeping me healthy and fit. It determines my energy and capacity for the day. It also helps in keeping me fresh and looking good. So for this prompt, I would like to share my eating habits with you all.

First of all, I am that kind of individual that prefers eating well cooked and tasty meals over the amount. Even though I am very famished, I would still prefer eating good food over the ones that are cooked merely to satisfy hunger. So there are some kinds of food I will be served or offered and I just immediately lose my appetite, no matter how hungry I am. At that point, the hunger will just vanish, and I would prefer eating snacks to that poorly cooked meal.

Also, when it comes to the quantity, I prefer eating food in smaller portions, at different times throughout the day, than consuming it all at once. Sometimes, whenever I am opportuned to see people eat in public places or occasions, I marvel at the mountain of food they usually pile up on their plates all in the name of hunger. I don't just quite understand it. I believe you shouldn't rush your meal or take in such a big amount or portion for just one meal. As it could lead to one having a bloated stomach, or indigestion.

Furthermore, I do not drink water before and after eating. Some might say it's wrong but it's one habit I have inculcated over time and it just stuck with me. The primary reason I do not take water before eating is to create more space for the food to sit well in my tummy. I know it may sound absurd, but I easily get filled up while eating. And drinking water before eating makes it worse, I might just end up remaining a large portion of the food. Also, after eating, I wait till about 15 to 30 minutes before taking two or three glasses of water.

Sometimes I see people eat anyhow and that somehow irritates me. It makes them look like a glutton. I like to believe you only eat when you're hungry. That's what I usually do. Whenever I feel the slightest hunger, I feed myself to avoid anything like an ulcer. It is one sickness I dread so much and would never like to be a victim of.

In all, the most enjoyable part about this concept of food is preparing or making it. I love the fact that one can make his or her own meals according to their taste and preferences. I personally love preparing my own meals as I am not a fan of eating outside or in an eatery or restaurant. You’ll never know the kind of spices, ingredients, water and so on they used in preparing their meals. However, when I make my own meals by myself, I am confident of the nutritional value I will be getting from it. Plus I just love cooking and garnishing my food to my taste.
