When talking about eating habits. We have got to mention the fact that a lot of people when asked the question "Do you eat healthy?" Or, "Do you eat well?". They often answer with that they eat very well or healthy. Some try to keep it somewhat honest and say that not everything they eat healthy.
But, this strikes a question, does everyone eat as healthy as they think?
The short answer is no. Of course, not everyone is getting the nutrition they need from food. But, let us just explore this a little bit.
When talking about the nutritional value. We have to come across the fact that similar kinds of foods vary in terms of nutritional value. For instance, if we talk about an apple. The highest nutritional value is when it is taken from the tree. Then, it starts decreasing within time. That is one factor to look at. Secondly, when the apple is sliced, it starts losing its nutritional factor faster. So, if we say we sliced it in two halves. Then, each half would lose its nutritional value double the speed of a not sliced apple.
Moving on, let's talk about the growth of food and it's conditions. If we put our food in a harsh condition before harvesting it. It sometimes affects the outcome (which is the fruits or vegetables in this case). The same goes with animals. The conditions that they are in makes a lot of difference.
I came across the above information some time back and I think it was an information that was new to me as I have not thought of it before. Plus, it is something that is not talked about a lot. Therefore, I chose to share it with you and see what you think about it.
Apart from all that, I guess the rest is information that is known or at least discussed widely.
To conclude, I would say that one should pay attention to their eating habits and assess the quality of food they eat.
