Hello, foodies of HIve. I hope you all are doing well.
Today, I will share a food review of a relatively new shop with friends and will share my journey of the day. A few more guys were supposed to join us but... they were neet.
Without further ado, let's begin!
The main purpose of coming to the mall was to look for a potential store that would fix our PlayStation 4 controllers. So, us 3 people with the controllers decided to head out here at 6:30 pm, after prayer time.
Later, I found that 3 more people were to join us. Of them, there was a friend who was going to join us simply because we hadn't seen him in 2 months XD. The other 2 wanted to get a headset, they needed one. So, when it was go time, we all met near my friend's house, and that's where we found that one of my friends, who was supposed to bring their controller, didn't want to go since he didn't get his. He quietly left while the rest of us were busy greeting one another before heading out at 6:10 pm.
We combed through the shops at the mall and didn't find a single shop that could fix our controllers. I didn't have cash on me while these rich fucks had some. So, I asked if they would like to experience some gourmet stuff, and I added that it was cheap.
They agreed and I took them here. This picture is today's and there were fewer consumers. I went with them yesterday but didn't take any here as it was jam-packed and I thought it would be awkward and weird for the other customers and the restaurant servers.
The shrimp dumplings are on the right and they were bundles of joy. They weren't as hot as the ones on the left... they were pure lava balls. I do like them a bit cool but not to the extent that the insides harden. And, I cannot stress the fact that the sauce they drizzled over the dumplings was something to die for. It's not too spicy and a bit sour, a perfect blend for the bland and creamy dumpling.
We paired up the snacks with their amazing Matcha tea. I like mine without sugar as it would give me the authentic taste but he got it with sugar... and they offer this in either hot or cold water. And, the friend I went with had a heated gag as he threw in the hot chicken dumpling even after being warned. I recorded his reaction and then he asked that I share it with him... it did XD.
And this is from yesterday. This shop is still offering a BOGO offer for which we got 16 pcs for TK 200 or $1.89. They all were impressed with the quality and the consistency of the creaminess.
The only thing they didn't enjoy was the heat that these balls were packing. I recorded a live reaction of my friend where he put one of them inside his mouth and just huffed and puffed until he forced himself to chew it and burnt the inside of his mouth. I too suffered from this; the thing was that both of us were tricked by this guy who was extremely tolerant toward hot food and had eaten it within minutes of being served. Maybe, I will return this favor someday XD.
We also got the matcha tea as I had them convinced it was good. And it was good but for some reason, it was foaming on the surface. Was it because of the height at which it was being poured?
As the time for the mall grew ever so close, we decided to take one picture to commemorate it. The 2 guys on the right are twins and this picture is from yesterday. The guy behind me was the one we hadn't seen in months and the one on the far left was the guy with the controller and who ate the hot dumpling like bread. Before leaving, they thanked me and added that they were going to bring their parents to try this amazing shop out. I guess the only thing left for this shop to have is a sweet dumpling, that would truly bring out the Japanese culture in this country.
I believe I'll hit this shop until the buy 1 get 1(BOGO) offer runs out. Till then, I hope we can get together once more as real life is becoming ever so hard.
