Satisfying My Rainy Day Craving: Fried Chicken Biryani Delight

in Foodies Bee Hive19 hours ago

I'm not really sure why, but my appetite tends to improve on rainy days. The colder weather makes me crave rich, hearty food. And today, I was really in the mood for some Chicken Biryani!

It's one of the most popular Indian dishes in the city, alongside Prata. Whenever I think of Indian cuisine, the first dish that comes to mind is Biryani. I just love the combination of flavors and textures—the fragrant Basmati rice, crispy fried chicken or flavorful chicken curry, tangy pickled vegetables or fresh cucumber, crunchy Apalam, and the rich, aromatic curry sauce!

I had my dinner in the Mountbatten area, a quiet neighborhood. It’s not in the city center, but it’s only about a 30-minute ride by MRT or bus to get there.

There's a popular food center along Airport Road, but I decided not to go there because it tends to get crowded around this time, and I wasn’t in the mood for that. Plus, since it’s a large food center, the fumes can be quite overwhelming at this hour. So, I’d rather go to a quieter spot where I can relax.

Their menu is like a book—there are so many items to choose from! They also have pre-cooked dishes displayed on their racks. But since I came here for just one thing, I went straight for the fried chicken biryani.

I prefer fried chicken biryani because it comes with a separate bowl of curry sauce. That way, I can dip the chicken in it or drizzle it over the basmati rice however I like. Basically, I feel like I have control over the spice level of the dish because of that!

This fried chicken biryani hit the spot with its flavorful spices, crispy chicken, and fragrant basmati rice. I also loved having the curry sauce on the side, letting me adjust the spice level to my liking. Sometimes, a simple and satisfying meal in a quiet spot is all you need to make your day better!

Always welcome my friend 😊

I love spicy food!
That crispy fried chicken biryani looks absolutely FIRE! 🔥
There's something magical about spicy food on rainy days - it's like the universe's perfect pairing!
I love how you can control the heat with that side curry too - that's the pro move right there.
I can practically smell it through the screen!
Thanks for sharing this spicy treasure!
Bon appetit!

True. The heat of the chili and curry is perfect on rainy days 🤤

@tipu curate

Thank you so much!

I also feel that way sometimes; I have a bigger appetite on rainy days. Everyone here loves eating especially on rainy days. Biryani is truly a popular Indian dish; I still haven't found an authentic Indian restaurant in my area or near my area. The food display all look mouthwatering, but I'll just go easy on the spice level. Looking at their menu, I would be confused on which one to choose.

I feel that way because of the need for warmth... And chili and curry is a perfect way to warm me up during rainy days 😜

Ahh yes, I understand the point. The need for spicy food on rainy days makes sense - to give warmth to the body. As for me, the hot temperature of the food is enough to awaken me up on rainy days.🙂

Chicken biryani will satisfy my cravings too, here the rainy days seems over luckily ❤️❤️

Sounds good! Over here is just starting 😁

I love briyani too! But warmer weather is fine to eat it too!

True. I would still have briyani on a windy night 😁

They all look so appetizing! :)

Especially the colorful ones 😁

Trueeee!!!
In the Philippines, some local eatery add food coloring to their food... Sometimes it's too much, but I think it makes the food more attractive... XD

What did the icicle say to the other icicle?
Nothing, they just hung out and chilled.
