Hello, friends especially foodies!

Throw back my memory to an unforgettable Birthday lunch i had that i want to share to all of my Hive friends here. On my latest birthday i couldn't have any birthday lunch or dinner date with my boyfriend because it was on working day so instead of celebrating it on that day, we decided to have a late birthday lunch in one of the legendary beef steak restaurants in my country. Imagine they even has served since 1971. Actually, eventhough this restaurant had lots of branches but my favorite is the one which was located in H.O.S Cokroaminoto street. Well, without any more prologue, let's just jump to my experience there.

When we came to the restaurant, it was almost 12, which was nearly lunch time. The restaurant's name is Gandy.

And when you enter the building you would find their bakery on the ground flour. It was separated from their restaurant but it had the same name, Gandy.

Inside you would find some chairs and tables of the restaurant, but not much because their main dining area is on the second floor.

We needed to go by stairs to their second floor, and the stair was wide and also large.

---

The dining area that they had on the second floor was large. My birthday was near christmas but we celebrated it after christmas, and for the season, this place had some christmas decorations. How time flies, i can imagine it is already april and i haven't shared about my tasty unforgettable experience there to you all.

Back to this place, they had semi sofas chairs so it was relaxing and homy. It had some bricked part of wall. Dimmed yellow light. I always like to be there.

Anyway in a corner you could find piano and keyboard because they performed live music on weekend's night.

Well, the menu was at our hand and it was time to order.

For starters, they had chicken quesadillas, cheese garlic bread, garlic bread, american french fries, gandy fried chicken strip, deep fried mix mushrooms, and deep fried onion ring.

For soups, they had their special soup named gandy's special soup, creamy chicken soup, and mushroom soup.

For salads, they had their salad bar, caesar salad and grilled chicken caesar salad.

For favourite steaks, they had Australian tenderloin, special Australian marble steak, Australian prime steer sirloin and Australian caesar steak.

For specialty steaks, they had steak ala Gandy, Gandy chicken steak, grilled pepper chicken, grilled Australian lamb leg, country beef steak, Gandy steak combination, Gandy special combo, chicken cordon bleu and wiener schnitzel.

For their special packages, they had some choices of US beef package, Australian beef package, menteng package, Gandy package, and Gandy fish/chicken package. All their packages included a single serving of soup and a choice of soft drink or iced lemon tea.

For signature steaks, they had wagyu rib eye steak, grilled wagyu tenderloin and wagyu sirloin steak.

For US Beef choices, they had US choice T-Bone steak, US Prime tenderloin, US Prime rib eye, US choice sirloin, and BBQ US beef ribs.

They also had choices of seafood delight, sandwiches and pastas.

Even, they had asian specialties and omelette.

For coffee, they had some hot and cold choices. For hot coffees, they had espresso, americano, cappuccino, piccolo late, macchiato, caffe late, and cafe mocha. For cold coffees, they had iced coffee, Gandy iced milk coffee, Gandy iced cappuccino, classic iced latte, iced hazelnut latte and iced avocado espresso.

For desserts, they had fruity peach melba, hot chocolate nutella brownies, Gandy banana split, chocolate sundae, and homemade gelato.

For beverages, they had favorite beverages such as lychee iced tea, peach iced tea, lemon ginger tea, thai iced tea, iced tea, iced lemon tea, kind of juice, kind of mocktails, kind of milk shake, milk, chocolate, water and soft drink plus variety of hot tea.

That's all the menu that provided in the restaurant.

After ordered, because we ordered steak packages then they delivered us their authentic diner roll with butter.

Their diner rolls were soft and smelled good plus tasted so good. Never changed and never failed, butter even made it tastier!

Next that came were their soups. Eventhough both of us ordered the same GANDY PACKAGE with same choice of steak, but we chose different kind of soup. And ta da here they were

Not a long time after it delivered, a waiter came to deliver our main course, STEAK ALA GANDY (Gandy special steak).

After asking whether we wanted the sauce to be poured or not, the waiter poured it on the steak and then the smoke came out from the steak.

Then the waiter put the steak to our table, and here how it looked

Now let me tell you about the taste and flavour of them. And let me begin with the greatest main course..

STEAK ALA GANDY

This steak is their authentic recipe. It had soft texture and grilled perfectly well done. It had tasty savory flavour. Plus it served with their special authentic secret recipe which you could taste the broth in it. Really special and tasty, superb. You would never find any like this in any places.

it accompanied with choice of potato: baked, mashed or fries. What we chose that day were different, while i tried their mashed potato, he had french fries. The french fries were crunchy but soft, this was one of the best. While the mashed potato was too sweet for me, but i still could enjoy it cause the texture it had was soft and sooo smooth.

don't forget it also completed with their authentic pickle made of shallot and green chili. It tasted so good, sweet and sour, what a perfect combination with their steak.

GANDY SPECIAL SOUP

Their gandy special soup served hot and it had some ingredients, like beef cubes and kind veggies like carrot, paprika and potato. Usually it had savory, sweet and sour flavour but that day it was spicy too. Well, even tasty but it was a bit too spicy for me.

MUSHROOM SOUP

Their mushroom soup was not to thick. Served hot, it contained mushroom and also chicken. It tasted savory and tasty. Loved it.

ICED LEMON TEA

It was one of the best iced lemon tea ever. It had sweet and sour flavour. The lemon flavour is always real and natural. Served chilled, fresh and it is my favorite beverage there.

And i also ordered their

CHOCOLATE GELATO

It served with chocolate paste and corn flakes. The gelato served chilled and it had tasty chocolaty sweet bitter flavour. The texture was smooth and also melty.

Well, overall both of us agree that the steaks they served were superb... And i don't think their prices are expensive. So of course we will come again to Gandy!
