We went for a quick coffee with friends in Brgy Pulupandan Bacolod City,Negros Occidental. Our friend took us to a place called Pulupatawhay Cafe.It was a really nice simple place by the sea.We had milk tea and local snacks, and it was so relaxing listening to the waves. It was a much better break than we expected.

Pulupatawhay Cafe is made up of cute traditional huts right by the ocean. It is built with bamboo and nipa leaves in which makes it feel cozy and different from regular cafes. It's more than just a place to get drinks but it is also a place to experience the friendly and relaxed vibe of life by the sea in Negros.

As we settled into our cozy nipa hut,With the soft sea breeze coming through the windows we got a menu that had both local food and drinks we already knew.Even just the names on the menu a mix of local and English words showed that the cafe was special and different.

Here's the Food menu

We looked at their breakfast menu called "Pulupasilog".The prices were really good from 50 pesos to 90 pesos. It smelled like yummy rice and cooked meat, and we were excited to try it.

They had a lunch menu called "Pulupanyaga" (which means lunch in the local language). We were really interested in trying their local food, especially their popular noodle dish bihon. It was cheap, between 58 pesos to 98 pesos and even though it is a simple dish they made it taste amazing.

Of course,no cafe experience is complete without snacks and Pulupatawhay delivered with their "Pulupamahaw" menu.Pamahaw meaning snack in Hiligaynon offered a selection of sandwiches and fries perfect for sharing and enjoying the food while laughing and talking with others.

The best part of Pulupatawhay was their drinks called "Pulupabugnaw"(which means cool in the local language). They had lots of cold drinks perfect for the hot weather like halo-halo (a sweet icy dessert),Mais Con Yelo (corn with ice) and iced coffee. There was something for everyone to enjoy.

They also had drinks made with lemon and yakult that were a bit sour and refreshing.Their milkshakes came in lots of yummy fruit flavors like mango and avocado also chocolate.Plus, they made really cold blended drinks called Frosty frappes.

The milk tea at Pulupatawhay was the best.I got the red velvet milk tea which looked and tasted amazing. My friends tried some interesting flavors like matcha creamcake and avocado creamcheese, and they were really good and different.

We enjoyed our sweet, creamy milk teas while breathing in the salty sea air.The cafe was really cute with its simple huts decorated with bright colors. What we really liked were the mirrors placed around the cafe which made it look even nicer.

The mirrors in the cafe had nice positive saying on them. They made us feel good and reminded us to enjoy the moment. They were not just for decoration but they also were like little reminders to be happy.I liked the idea so much that I wanted to put similar quotes on my mirror at home.

Beyond the food and the aesthetics Pulupatawhay offered something truly special and also a sanctuary of peace and calm."Pulupatawhay," after all means "rest" in Hiligaynon. And that's precisely what the cafe provided. It was a place to escape the daily grind of everyday life,to unwind and reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones.

It was a really peaceful time, making us remember how beautiful simple things are. The cafe was cozy and calm, a place where we could relax and enjoy being with our friends.

We had a really good time talking. We laughed a lot, told stories and enjoyed the yummy, sweet milk teas.We talked about our dreams, our aspirations and of course the little moments that made life so special. We reminisced about past adventures and planned future escapades our voices mingling with the gentle sounds of the ocean.

When the sun started to set,we had to go.But we had always remember the good times, the laughs and that delicious red velvet milk tea.

Pulupatawhay Cafe wasn't just a place to grab a drink but it was a sanctuary,a haven of peace and calm.It was a place where we could escape the chaos of the world and reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones.It was a place where the rhythm of the waves harmonized with the sweet symphony of milk tea and creating a melody of pure bliss.

On the drive home with the sunset still in the sky,I was just so grateful.
Grateful for my friends and their kindness.Grateful for the cafe, for being so cozy and having good food and a calm feeling. And grateful for the little things like laughing and talking with my friends and enjoying the milk tea that made it such a great day.

Pulupatawhay wasn't just a cafe but also a reminder that the most precious moments are often found in the most unexpected places. It was a reminder to slow down, to appreciate the beauty around us and to cherish the company of those we love.It was a reminder that even in the middle of busy world there are still places where we can find peace, calm and a taste of pure unadulterated joy. And as I look forward to our next visit to Pulupatawhay,I know that these memories, these moments of laughter and connection will continue to shine brightly like The stars reflecting on the sea felt like a permanent reminder of our friendship.Because what makes those moments special isn't the drink itself but the time we spend together enjoying it. Because in the end of the day it's not just the milk tea that's sweet, it's the moments we share while sipping it, moments that make life truly delicious.
