I went to the Food Republic last night to get a bowl of handmade noodles. I was sure about the food that I want so I walked straight to the handmade noodles stall. It’s been a while since I last ate this food so spending a bit more for this dinner should be okay. This meal cost me S$8.90 which is almost twice the price of an average noodle dish in a hawker center. Food Republic is a brand of food court in a shopping mall. The prices are higher because of the air conditioning and cozy seats. It’s a good thing to consider especially in a city that has a tropical climate as Singapore. There’s a price for comfort and convenience 😅.
There are 3 options for this stir fried handmade noodles these are seafood, chicken, & beef. I chose the latter because I’m not craving seafood and I’m not a fan of black pepper chicken.
There are plenty of choices that I should try on my next visit to this place. The pork ribs looks delicious together with the handmade noodles.
The dining area has a nice modern vibe to it. It’s bright and inviting. It was already 9:00 PM so there are few people who are dining during this hour. Many of the shops have closed for tonight too.
One of the reasons why I like handmade noodles is because of the nice texture of the noodles. Unlike the noodles made in factories, the handmade ones have a nice smooth bite to it. And it’s very filling too.
Going to the handmade noodle stall is an easy choice for me. It’s more expensive but it’s worth it!
