Cambodian-style stir-fried short rice noodles with egg beef and pate come with garlicky sweet and sour sauce
The best thing I found in Siem Reap. What comes to mind when I say Siem Reap? Of course there are many things, but I think one of the things you should do is fill your stomach with special Cambodian food in this city. You need to know this!
Cambodia style stir fried rice noodles with toppings are at Krousa Lotchha Nomkouchhay which has been around since 1987. Can you imagine if this restaurant has been around since I was not born, I was born in 1990. It turns out I am much younger than this legendary restaurant in Siem Reap.
Well, looking at the front of the restaurant I was very sure of my choice to come here. Of course I got the recommendation from some information, so, I tried here in the afternoon after Wat Damnak. Just a few minutes walk, not far from Wat Damnak or the center of Siem Reap.
In front, there are several chefs who are cooking live, called open kitchen like a cheaper version of omakase. It looks very appetizing to see a large frying pan where they cook very skillfully.
The favorite that must be ordered is rice noodles with fish balls and eggs. They recommended it to me because it is very delicious. I also went with them, so 2 portions for me and my wife, and one plate of chives cake with two variants: circle and square.
Wait, I will describe this rice noodle. It is really delicious! Trust me that it is really delicious. The savory taste comes from the spices that blend with salt and sugar and a combination of fish oil and sesame. I feel like garlic is dominant, there is something stronger than that is the smoky from the pan and the heat of the fire which is quite large. If I see them cooking, it is very fast and concise.
Of course they have delicious noodles, they say the noodles here are home made, so not just any noodles, so there is a distinctive characteristic. I really like the chewiness of the noodles, there is a sweet taste and a perfect blend. Not only that, sprinkling chives and bean sprouts that have a crunchy texture that I really like. Not overcooked so it is very fresh. Given fish balls and also eggs that are cooked ½ cooked, making the egg yolk melt.
Chives cake has two types, different shapes and textures. I also have different concoctions because the taste is also different, but of course there are a lot of chives in it. It seems that they really believe in the fresh taste of the chives they have, because all menus are always given chives.
