It was so much fun to fly to one of the historical places or cities in Southeast Asia. The first time I went to this place from so much time I spent in my life, I was so excited.

After a short flight from Medan to Kuala Lumpur and then flying again for almost 2 hours to Siem Riep, Cambodia. After arriving, it turned out that I just realized that this city is really very high tect in terms of administration, I even just found out how perfect it was when I was at immigration because everything was very easy and fast.

That afternoon it seemed very hot, the air temperature turned out to be higher than Medan or Bangkok. When we realized that I had not eaten and drunk to start our journey at that time. Stopped at a restaurant that had a high rating because my expectations had to be high when trying food from Cambodia for the first time. So I had to find a pretty good place with a high rating.

Unfortunately, we arrived in Siem Reap on Friday, where many restaurants were closed, that's what the taxi driver told me, until finally I was taken to a place that couldn't possibly be closed on Friday, a restaurant that is popular with tourists who come to Siem Reap, Brother Bong.

Looking at the menu, it turns out there are many traditional Cambodian foods, although there are more international menus. Try amok fish, that's what the waiters said who helped us choose the menu, then I was also curious about other foods such as bowl smoothies.

Amok fish is quite unique, I feel like I see something with comprehensive local wisdom. The food comes very well in plating and its appetizing color. Amok fish, made from fish given curry spices, tastes very soft like rice porridge, but a little fishy from the fish covered in aromatic spices.

I'm really curious, how can it taste so delicious? The dominant taste of spices and especially turmeric which gives the strongest taste, makes this food unforgettable. Accompanied by a bowl of rice, eat slowly and it must also be mixed with amok fish. The rice that finally mixed with the taste of curry and turmeric was very beautiful. Of course not only that, I felt the curry from amok fish was very thick and it was made from fatty coconut milk.

Not only about amok fish, smoothie bowls are also very delicious! Of course I chose fruits that are the pride of the tropics. Pineapple, watermelon and dragon fruit! With temperatures that make the body sweat and release fluids, the right choice is to eat a smoothie bowl that is enough to top up fluids to stay well hydrated.

I also just found out that in Cambodia, the price of a glass of beer or soda water is cheaper than food! Very unique. Once again, beer in Cambodia is very cheap and tends to be preferred by foreign tourists.
