Hi, Foodies Beehive! Let's go back to 2012 when my mother and I visited Cebu City. I think I had some paperwork to do. We also went for a massage to have a relaxation.
After the massage, we got some coffee offered by the massage therapists.
But, we were hungry. It was almost lunchtime. We were at Mango Avenue in Cebu City where there are several establishments you can find from massage/spa, restaurants, hotels, and many more.
Lunch at Zubuchon
I brought my mother to Zubu Chon which stands for Zubu is Cebu or Sugbo and Chon short for Lechon. Lechon is a roasted pig. Cebu is famous for Roasted Pig or Lechon Baboy.
Their board menu is very simple and easy to read.
They also offer Kamias juice from cucumber tree which is a good pair for your Zubuchon meal.
My mother while waiting for our order.
Oh wow! Anthony Bourdain also tried Zubu Chon in Cebu.
What did we order?
We ordered their fast meals consisting of rice and lechon with papaya salad. This was my plate.
My mom's plate
We also ordered leche flan.
Oh wow, they can also deliver lechon to Manila.
It seemed like my mother was not yet full. I think we ate somewhere else because we love being on a food trip. Hahaha!
If you're around Cebu, make sure to eat some lechon. :D
