I wasn't really planning on uploading anything today, but stranger things have happened on the blockchain. So, here goes...
I was hungry for a snack when I thought about cooking up an egg toast in my new frying pan. It was late in the afternoon and I'm feeling hungry, maybe because of the light lunch or something. I was doing well, as you can see from the photo above, with everything organized and going according to plan when I got distracted by the movie I was watching on Netflix. I swear, it was only a short time, just a few minutes. When I turned back around to face the cooker, I saw smoke going out from under the bread. Sigh.
It was a disaster. I know I messed up. I immediately flipped the bread 🍞 to my horror. This bread was ruined. I didn't want to throw it away so I transferred the burnt bread to a bowl where I continued putting in some mayo and the other half of the toast.
I took a bite, and to my biggest surprise, it didn't taste bad. In fact, it was one of the best tasting egg-toast sandwiches I've had in a long time. As you can see in the photo below, it looked bad but it wasn't the case; it was only slightly over-toasted, which seems to have added to a better overall taste/smell.

Lesson learned. Don't judge a book by its cover. Or, in this case. Don't judge toasted egg sandwich by the color.of its toast. 😂😂😂
I'm now in awe that I love my new frying pan even more. LOL. It's either that or I was really, really hungry. Either way, grateful for the way this turned out and averted a snacking disaster.
And that's it for today's blog post. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to post something in the Foodies Bee Hive Community. I'm not sure how, but I'd like to go back to posting about one of my passions: #food. I will make it happen.
Thanks for dropping by and spending time on my blog. Have a nice day.
Love and peace!
