When you are under pressure - go to the kitchen. It is a real salvation, actually, the solution to resolve the pressure. And the salvation... that is what my kitchen needs after my interventions 🤣
Some weeks ago, I already had the idea to bake some biscuits and send them to a few people as a tiny detail for these Christmas dates. But you know how it goes, you never get there to have a few free hours. The weekend was good, my son was at home so we had a good time, we went on a little excursion and also made some mess in the kitchen. Literally. You don't believe me? Then look at this photo:

So, what do you say now? Disaster, right?
I know...
This was waffles in the attempt, but the result was an epic fail. So bad we couldn't enjoy the waffles, and the cleaning part was more painful than all the joy that the waffles could give. However, it was great anyway to spend those hours in the kitchen with my young man as he decided to prepare empanadas.

I have never made them by myself; I don't have the recipe either, it was he who brought homemade empanadas to our home for the first time and we loved it. That is his speciality so I don't even get close to the process, just to take some photos. :)

In my opinion, they had to spend less time in the oven, but my son likes them to have this darker colour. That is also true that he coated them with the whole egg and not just the egg white. Also, it is just a few times I have used this new oven, so I still have to get to know how it behaves.

The result was not bad at all; it was more than tasty. He made them in three different shapes and these "flowers" were my favourites. The filling was onion, canned tuna, (he put four cans without oil for 24 empanadas) fried tomato, 3 boiled eggs, and spices.

Here they were served in a huge bowl and a part of it was consumed for dinner. 24 empanas is a lot, I could eat just 3 so we had leftovers for the next day too.

Fast forward to today - still kitchen topic!
As I failed on Saturday with the waffles, and I still have the idea to make and send some biscuits, it was time to try to make up for the failure. Fingers crossed that this time I don't make just a disaster. We will see haha, at the moment here come just the ingredients:

I have jumped this bowl now and found salvation from Miss Migraine and other stuff; even music came to the kitchen to accompany me. Andrea Bocelli was singing quite loudly these songs. Through two closed doors, this voice overpowered the music my husband was listening to in his office room.
Mister Bocelli was covered with a kitchen cloth lol. 😂

Oh, you are waiting to see the results? Well, me too.
They still didn't go into the oven as I was writing this post in the meantime. 😁
EDIT: the result of today's baking:
