Hey guys,
Last month, around Mid December, I was in Craiova for two days.
Craiova is a city located in Southwestern Romania, and actually its the biggest city in this part of the country. Anyways, this is not a post about the city itself, however it's on my list next to this one. 😁
Instead, I thought to share with you what we had for breakfast (and dinner) during our stay here.
I have too many photos taken in the city so its for the best to split in two what I thought sharing on my blog.
I don't know about you, but I always think in advance about the food we're going to have when we visit a new town. What a FooDie I am! I dont mean that I pick up the restaurants from home 😅 but I usually do have a list. 😄. It depends on many things how prepared am I or not.
This time I didnt't have a list though! It was an unplanned trip and I was super excited about it! I was so euphoric all the way through here that I even forgot to google some options. I dint care at all. I was just in the moment, waiting to see our friends.
Ooh not to mention, that we drove almost 6 hrs one way and the next day we came back home.
Coffee and Breakfast at SteSo Restaurant Craiova
Look, I suck at review-ing something, no matter what it is: a movie, a hotel, a restaurant, food WHATEVEEEER! I just don't have a critical thinking. I don't have the skills for it, if I can say so
I do have my own opinion based on my expectations, experience and a feeling of "Did I enjoyed it or not?" but I wouldnt say I can write a serios review on something.
Anyways, I hope you know what I'm trying to say.
Oohh Yes! About the place! We picked this restaurant for Breakfast because it was just near the apartment we rented in the city for one night.
It was just perfect! 30 seconds walking and Boom! You're here, ordering your tea or cup of coffee.
Here's what me abd my husband served for breakfast.
A Cappuccino ☕️
This was amazing! We all enjoyed it. It was me and husband and our friends, @pink.wizz and her fiance. So four YES👍 for the cappuccino.

Restaurant Signature Bread
Then these were good, based on my taste! Too bad I couldnt have much of these as I barely finished my Sandwich. 😄
The bread was made there, or at least it looked like it. Ohh I just remembered that you could smell the bread making in the restaurant. So in the end, I'm pretty surr they make their own bread.
It's cool because it's fresh when served. 🥖🍞
They call it: Pâinea Casei meaning Bread of the House.
Steso omelette with mozzarella and House Bread
This is what my husband had.
Eggs with mozarella, olive oil and a salad on the side, some baked tomatoes and a basket of bread.
This costs 37 LEI, meaning 7.5€ or 8$.
He was happy with it, though I'm sure my choice was even better and yumm!!
Sandwich with mortadella, pistachios and lemon cream cheese
For me, this was insanely good. I was super happy about the bread. In the menu it says it's bread made right on the place, which changes the whole thing.
The sandwich it was warm, at least this pita bun I got.
Can you guess which word out of Sandwich with mortadella, pistachios and lemon cream cheese made me order this?
Lemon! 🍋🍋🍋🍋
And secondly, the bread! But Lemons! I imagined the lemon and the cream cheede in this fresh bread. Its similar with some pizza I use to order back home, to our favorite Pizza Napoletana Place. I have a few favorite pizzas there and one is with porcini, lemon and black pepper. Also my favorite pasta from them has grated lemon pulp on top so I kind of made the association and I imagined Good Breakfast right there! And it was! I loved it.
Overall having our Breakfast here was a good choice. The food was good, the place was nearby, the serving was fast, normal I would say.
The restaurant is pretty new, the furniture and ambiance felt cozy. We were the only ones at that moment in the restaurant.
Btw, they don't have a lot of Breakfast Options. But I think they have enough if you're not picky.
Everyone can eat a sandwich, an omelette or a poshed egg. Well, not everyone! 🤨🤨
Here I leave you some pics I took inside the place.

Dinner at Epoca Steak House and Wine Bar Craiova
It was freezing outside. After spending around two hours walking through out the city center, we decided to go and have dinner at a restaurant.
We chose Epoca Steak House and Wine Bar and it was a wonderful choice!
The soup was just perfect to warm up! IT WAS AMAZING! It was called Vegetable soup with beef rissole and it had surprisingly a mustard sauce on the side. Apparently they serve these together though I didnt see any this before. The leek in the soup was super flavourful and I truly think it had a huge role making this soup soo delicious. The beef meat was aslo juicy and tender. There's nothing to complain about.
For the main course I had Confit Duck Leg with Fries and a small salad on the side.
The duck was so tender! I always enjoy Orange and Duck whatever the cooking method is.
I didnt regret having this.My husband had a hamburger and a goulash soup. I forgot the photograph those.

Overall, our short food experience in Craiova was enjoyable. If you're in town I recommend these two places in case you dont find another ones where you'd like to eat.
Thank you for reading,
Have a lovely day
