Good day/evening food lovers!!!!
As a mom ,thinking what to prepare for our meal is really my daily problem especially if we're running out of budget.
But I feel blessed since we are living at the country side where we can plant some vegetables and buy as well to our neighborhood.
This morning ,I bought 1 kilo of sponge gourd from my co- parent .While waiting for our kids,some parents are selling some snacks ,other are selling their harvested vegetable.
I really like to eat sponge gourd as they said that it helps to lower our blood pressure and also it's been a long time that I haven't eat this vegetables.This is good for the noodles and some soup recipes but this time ,I will make it as one of the ingredients of my sardines recipe .
Ingredients
-sardines
-sponge gourd
-miswa(noodles)
-spices like onion ,garlic
Sardines is really our savior during our crisis,when we are running out of budget for our food ,sardines is one of our alternative food.
Anyway ,the first thing you have to do is to peel off the sponge gourd or we called it sikwa.
Then slice it and prepare some spices that available in your kitchen.
We only have this spring onions and garlic.
Then in a hot pan ,add cooking oil and saute the garlic or the available spices in your kitchen then add the sardines.
After one minute ,add the slice sponge gourd and add salt and pepper to taste then cook it for about two minutes.
Sponge gourd are easily to cook ,don't over cook it for a better result then add the miswa or noodles.
Then cover it for a minute and it ready to serve.
And that's it for my sardines recipe for our dinner.
I realized that I did'nt take some photos for the ready to eat sardines recipe.
We all done having our dinner and we don't have left over on it haha ,but now when I checked my phone ,I realized that I can't have something to show you the final result of what I cooked haha .
