It is never a bad time to taste something away from home, and well, it was far away this time. About 150 kilometers from where I live, is the national park El Avila and that was our destination taking into account that my wife and I are in special dates. To get here you not only have to drive on the road, but also take a cable car from the foot of the mountain to what seems to be the highest point. One of the things we like the most about this place is the cool climate, not even in dreams we can experience these temperatures in the city of Maracay, but Caracas and El Avila certainly have a very good climate.
The truth is that when we travel, sooner or later we get hungry, so among so many options, we chose a small restaurant called “No te apures”, which in English means “Do not hurry”, or something like that. The proposed menu consisted of hamburgers, hot dogs, grill and nuggets, as it is evident we chose a Jumbo combo that brings two large hot dogs with German sausage, french fries, yellow cheese and avocado, also comes with fries and a soda which complement very well this type of dishes.

I must say that the strong point of this hot dog is the sausage, it is not the one we usually eat in the street but a German version which is bigger and with a more intense flavor. The avocado was also a surprise since it is not usually served in hot dogs due to its cost, but I guess it is in that aspect that this small restaurant makes the difference. The cost of this combo is 10$, a price that is not so high considering that this is a touristy place where things are usually high in terms of cost.

Overall the impressions of this combo are good, you can satiate yourself and continue the trip with renewed energy, each ingredient did its job for what is expected to be a fast food dish. If at another time I return to El Avila National Park I would probably eat at the same place, but I would order a different type of dish. So the good weather, the beautiful ambiance and the breathtaking panoramic view made this lunch very enjoyable. It was a pleasure to share this experience with all of you, greetings!
