If you're looking for healthy food this is the wrong place (today)! 😄 BUT... if you want tasty, comfort food you came to the right place. And here am I, putting my oats, eggs and whey aside and cooking with lard... 🤦♂
🇵🇹 Se estás à procura de comida saudável, vieste ao local errado (hoje)! 😄 MAS... se quiseres comida saborosa estás no local certo. E aqui estou eu, deixando de parte a minha aveia, ovos e whey e cozinhando com banha de porco... 🤦♂
Ingredients / Ingredientes:
600g of pork spare ribs | 600g de entrecosto de porco |
750g of potatoes | 750g de batatas |
3 garlic cloves | 3 dentes de alho |
10dl of red wine | 10dl de vinho tinto |
1 soup spoon of lard | 1 colher de sopa de banha |
1 lemon | 1 limão |
olive oil | azeite |
black pepper | pimenta preta |
salt | sal |
1 - Wash and season the ribs with salt and pepper. (cut it if you want)
1 - Lavar o entrecosto e temperar com sal e pimenta. (cortar se quiser)
2 - Slightly fry the meat in olive oil and lard.
2 - Fritar ligeiramente a carne em azeite e banha.
3 - Meanwhile, boil the unpeeled potatoes in water and salt.
3 - Entretanto, cozer as batatas com pele, em água com sal.
4 - Peel and chop the boiled potatoes.
4 - Descascar e cortar as batatas cozidas.
5 - The meat should be ready by then. In a new pan, heat the wine with the garlic cut in halves.
5 - A carne já deve estar pronta. Noutro tacho, aquecer o vinho com os alhos cortados em metades.
6 - Add the spare ribs (some of the fatty sauce included), the potatoes and cook until most of the wine evaporates.
6 - Juntar o entrecosto (com algum do molho gorduroso), as batatas e cozinhar até que a maioria do vinho evapore.
7 - Add lemon juice and serve with chopped parsley (optional).
7 - Adicionar sumo de limão e servir com salsa picada (opcional).
