Making cubit cake recipe from my mother

It's great to always be able to share cooking recipes in this community, today I intend to share my mother's old-school cubit cake recipe. This cake is very famous in my area, why is this cake called cubit cake, because its small round shape is eaten by pinching it a little bit, so the cake is called cubit cake, a unique name huh hehehe, what is the name of this cake in your place, is it also cubit cake?

This cubit cake is made from wheat flour with the addition of a little liquid milk, and eggs, and additional ingredients such as baking powder, salt, sugar and vanilla powder, the ingredients are very easy to make, and I bake it on a non-stick frying pan, this cubit cake used to be very popular in my area, unlike now where I never find this cake in the market area of my area, even though in the past this cake was sold everywhere, maybe now this cubit cake has been replaced with pancung cake, because pancung cake and cubit cake are almost similar in taste and aroma are also the same, but I don't know the process of making it, because I have never made the pancung cake dough

With a simple shape, small round, here I think the process of making it is not uniform, because I don't use a mold, I just measure it with one spoon of dough, if you want the cake to have a uniform shape, you can use the mold,

Okay, I will share a simple recipe on how to make this simple cubit cake.


Materials used

4 tbsp flour
1 egg
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
6 tbsp liquid milk


Manufacturing procedure



First


Add granulated sugar and eggs, then beat until the granulated sugar dissolves

Next, add the baking powder, salt and vanilla powder, stir again until evenly mixed, then add the flour gradually.

then add the liquid milk gradually, then cover and let stand for 10 minutes before baking

After letting it sit for 10 minutes, then bake it on a teflon pan. I take a tablespoon of the dough and bake it until it is cooked and has a slightly brownish yellow color. Then remove and serve with toppings according to your taste.

The result of my cubit cake is very pretty, isn't it? I sprinkled chokochip and sweetened condensed milk on top of the cubit cake, because that's what I had at home. If you want to add cereal, any kind of chocolate, it will definitely be delicious too.

The taste of this cubit cake is sweet, fatty and very savory, it tastes almost the same as martabak, maybe this could be called mini martabak.

My family and I really like it, but unfortunately I don't cook much, just a little, because I'm afraid I won't make it, because honestly this is my first time making this cubit cake hehehe, if I make too much I'm afraid it will be a waste, right?
