Struffoli Napoletani-Typical dessert

in Foodies Bee Hive3 months ago

for the struffoli (we used 3.5kg of flour😜)

  • 500g of flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 130g of sugar
  • 25g of butter
  • grated orange and lemon
  • a drop of sambuca or brandy or anise
  • Acacia's honey
  • Zuccherini

  1. Add the ingredients and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
  2. Let the dough rest under a cloth for half an hour
  3. Divide it into several parts and make snakes and from time to time wet your hands with brandy or anise
  4. Cut the snakes into small pieces
  5. Fill the pot with seed oil and wait for it to heat up (putting a struffolo to see when it fry)
  6. Try to remove the flour so as not to dirty the oil and put a plate of struffoli to fry until they are golden brown
  7. Drain and absorb the oil with a paper towel
  8. Melt the honey in a saucepan (until it froths)
  9. Add the struffoli and always turn the pan over the heat
  10. Put them on a plate and with wet hands give them a shape
  11. Add the sugars and let it cool !!! Merry Christmas❤️
To preserve them, wait to cover them with honey and close them with a bag
