Hope you are enjoying the weekend eating something delicious . My recipe with you today is all about a simple sandwich 🥪, which to many mighty seem simple , but if you look closely, there is so much to love in this sandwich. A really good sandwich made with caramelized onions 🧅.
Have you ever tried caramelizing your onions while making sandwiches? This is what made this recipe very special and exotic, and I for one will tell you how good it turned out.
And for those of us who loves eating onions but don’t like it raw in sandwiches, this very recipe is what you need to enjoy your sandwiches 🥪either for breakfast or lunch.
This weekend I planed this sandwich for brunch which made everyone to skip breakfast. This was the sandwich we enjoyed , its a classic on its own and will stay in the kitchen recipe roaster for a long while because my girls don’t like raw onions in sandwiches.
It seems so easy and simple with just few ingredients from the pantry and refrigerator. All still fresh with some already sliced bread 🍞, my favorite from the bakery. It taste so great.
Here I show you the process step by step.
INGREDIENTS:
1 large red onions
1 large cherry tomatoes
Bunch of lettuce
Mayonnaise for spread
1/4 salt
Slice bread 🍞
1/2 teaspoon of Chili powder
2 tablespoons of veg oil
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
I will start this recipe by first separating the lettuce, thoroughly wash and sterilize it with a water care.
And leave it in a small basket to drain off water as above.
Step 2.
I will wash and slice the onions here.
The tomatoes I will wash with salt before slicing it as above.
Step3.
Here will slice the lettuce and have the vegetable ready.
Step 4.
To caramelize the onions, I will heat up the veg oil, added some salt here above.
Will add the onions here stirring it gradually
And here it start to caramelizing under a low heat.
Step 5.
Next is to cut and spread the bread with mayonnaise lightly. As above.
Step 6.
Then will set the tomatoes here sprinkling some salt and pepper .
Added the sliced lettuce here.
Step 7.
Will add the caramelized onions here. Readily making it more nourishing with lots of nutrients and vitamins.
Like anything in my opinion, the best sandwich 🥪 is the simplest but rich sandwich made with just few natural fresh ingredients that are truly great because anything made with care is made out of love ❤️, especially for our good health and that of our loved 🥰 ones.
