In this case, the correct way to speak "my friend!" is meu amigo! ('cause you're talking to me).

Meu = Male
Minha = Female

If you translate MY into Brazilian, you can get MEU or MINHA as the answer.

I misunderstood the concept. I thought if I'm female, I must use the female version... So, it depends on who I'm talking to.
