Hello everyone, It was one of those perfect Tuesday afternoons where the sun was shining, and everything felt good of the weather as we have to get a drive for almost 2 hours to get to hospital. Boris had been stuck at home for almost 2 months now, nursing a fixed leg and feeling like his world was shrinking. The daily routine of TV shows and phone games had started to feel like a blur. So, we decided it was time for a change, a little detour on our way to his check-up. He is so happy that he goes for a ride to see a doctor. “We’ll head to the doctor’s, but first, he asked for french fries from McDonald's. And I say yes, we make a quick stop. McDonald’s drive-thru. Boris's face lit up. The thought of getting out of the house plus the idea of his usual McDonald's order was enough to make him forget about his heavy leg and the painful days of recovery. “Yes! Let’s do it. A joyride and McDonald's. I chuckled at his excitement. Boris was finally ready to go. The cast on his legs made it tough, but so far, all in good and fast recovery.
As my husband drove, and my son was in the front seat, the car filled with Boris chatter. “Once this cast comes off, I’m going running, Daddy, and I will go swimming, he said, grinning like the thought of it didn’t seem ridiculous. I smile and am full of positive thinking. The doctors had told him it’d be months before he could run again, but it was fun to hear him dream big. As we neared McDonald’s, my husband asked him if he wanted to add on his order. He asked for French fries and chicken nuggets. and he robbing he’s tummy hahahaha what a cutie. He waited for the father to finish the order before he jumped and said Thank you, daddy. And parked in a spot nearby to eat. and Boris, happily eating his French fries and chicken nuggets. I can see Boris's face lighting up like a kid on Christmas morning. “Honestly, I’ve been craving this so much. It’s been forever.”
Looking at him, I can’t stop myself from smiling. watching him savor the simple pleasure of fries and nuggets, I could see the weight lifting off his shoulders. Maybe it was just McDonald’s, but for him, it was everything today. We finished our food, then we backle up our set built and start heading to the hospital. But the drive felt different. Boris was more relaxed, and even though his legs were still wrapped in cement cast, it didn’t seem as bad. At the hospital, Boris settle to his bed for preparing him for changing the cement cast of his legs for the next day, he so joyfull grated all the nurse and doctor he call all of them doctors hahahah, and he so proud telling them that his spiderma legs going to change new one, The doctor checked his leg, confirmed that it was healing well, and told him that soon, they could remove the cast. Boirs couldn’t help but smile.
I'll be praying for his fast recovery. He is the same with my kids, they always wanted to have french fries whenever we go outside.
Thank you for praying. Everything goes well, I'm hoping for perfect recovery of his leg
The situation is hard for him especially that it restricts his movement. I also love McDonald's french fries. At least, he got something to look forward to before seeing the doctor. The heavy feeling was replaced by excitement. Complete recovery for your son. It will also be less hassle and worry on your part. More McDonald treats to come when he is finally free from his cast.
All my children like McDonald's French fries. Every time we go to the doctor, he looks forward to eating the French fries in the car. Now, another 6 weeks and he will be free from the cast.
