Hello everyone!!
Have a great and blissful dayđ„°
My family really prefers homemade dishes to those bought from fast food, restaurants, or cafeterias. I am really happy that God gifted me the skill or ability to cook. This has become my passion, and I am in love with cooking, though it's not exclusively for the family but sometimes for some visitors and relatives, too.
Why do we prefer homemade dishes? It's because we can freely choose healthier ingredients to save our health from undesired calories, sodium, sugar, carbohydrates, and saturated fats, especially now that I have hypertension but I have never taken medications for almost two years. We only practiced living a healthy lifestyle and thankfully I managed to survive without medication, but of course with the utmost guidance and care from my daughter @tegoshei.
Well still eat meat sometimes but more on veggies most of the time.
But yesterday, I needed to cook quickly because I was running out of time due to some other chores plus I need to cook two different meals nowadays, for our golden retriever Max and for us.
So, I decided to cook another quick and easy dish. It was "A Simple Pork Strip Stir Fry"
Without further ado let's have a quick look into it!
A Simple Pork Strip Stir Fry
INGREDIENTS:
- Lean Pork
- Bell Pepper
- Onion
- Garlic
- Paprika
- Tomato Paste
- Ground Black Pepper
- Ajinomoto âVetsinâ or MSG
- Soy Sauce
- Salt
- Canola Oil
- Water
- White or Brown Sugar
PREPARATION:
Wash the pork thoroughly and then slice them into strips.
Wash the bell pepper and cut it into strips.
Peel and wash the onion and cut it into small pieces.
Crush and peel the garlic, then cut it into small pieces or mince it.
Then set all the prepared ingredients aside.
NOTE: The pork should be marinated for at least 30 minutes, but it was almost lunch time and my daughter will have to work right after lunch break, so I wasn't able to marinate the pork but it was still good and yummy.
COOKING TIME:
Heat some canola oil in a pan. Sautee garlic and onion until fragrant.
Add the pork strips, and sauté until its juice comes out and then evaporates.

Add soy sauce, paprika, tomato paste, and ground black pepper. Stir to combine then add water. Bring it to a boil until the pork becomes tender.
Then taste test... add a pinch of salt, a little sugar, and just a little MSG.(I seldom use it now) Continue cooking by constant stirring until the sauce is reduced and thickened.
Then add the bell pepper. Stir for just a few minutes to evenly combine.
And it's done. It's just so quick with minimum ingredients but still, the result was very delicious. Again, my family loves it. If you want to cook like this, you can also add oyster sauce and green chili which might enhance the dish even more.
Our tummies are happy again. đ„°
Thank you so much for dropping by. God bless us all! đâŁ
