Greetings ASEAN Hivers, this week's challenge is all about tofu, so I want to see what you ASEAN Hive chefs can create in the kitchen.

π©βπ³ Chef Challenge: Tofu π’
π¨βπ» Week #147 π©βπ»
February 24th β‘οΈ March 3rd, 2025Is there anywhere in Southeast Asian you can't find tofu? I think probably not, and whether you're a vegetarian or not, tofu is likely something you consume on occasion. In Cambodia tofu is commonly mixed with pork to cut down costs and provide some different texture in certain dishes, and I assume this tradition is passed down previous Chinese immigrants to Cambodia.

If you've got access to tofu you've got access to this challenge, no need to live in Southeast Asia or be a Southeast Asian citizen. Whether it be mapo tofu or even a sweet hot breakfast tofu pudding, the list of things you can create are nearly endless. So ASEAN Hivers, show me your food prep skills with this protein, and if you're culinarily inclined you can even share a tofu dish with us from your favorite restaurant or seller and tell us all about it.

When I think of a few of the reasons I choose to live in Southeast Asia, hammock access is a big overall part of the reason. Most homes have not one, but several hammocks in various locations for many different purposes and/or time of day. This challenge was a perfect example of that, and you can see a lot of personality in each hammock, especially so with wear and tear through the years. Please have a look at our winning posts and support anything of interest.

Morning blessings everyone! It's a pleasant day today because it's not too hot because of the previous night's rain. My daughter and her hubby went out earlier to avoid the heavy traffic. I watched over my 3-year old grandson who was still fast asleep so I slept beside him because I was still sleepy when my daughter told me to transfer to the other room and sleep beside my grandson. We woke up at 10: PM and prepared a kiddy bowl of oatmeal for our breakfast. Afterwards, He wants it to overloaded with powdered milk on top:)

Hey Hivers, hope you're having a great day! This is my entry for the π΄ Hammock Hangin' ππ¨βπ» Week #146 π©βπ». Hammocks are more than just furniture. Theyβre a feeling, a memory, a connection to the people who share our lives. For me, theyβre a constant companion, a reminder of who I am and where I come from. Growing up on a farm, I can't remember a time without a hammock swaying beneath the trees, most of the time on the balcony or even inside the living room.

It's a privilege because my father loves to plant, so we have many trees to attach hammocks to. Thanks also to my grandmother who let my mother inherit 1800 plus square meter land. She was so generous even to the neighbors granting them each a 300 square meter land for 5000 pesos. With an area of more than 1,800 square meters, it's a pity not to plant various trees. Hammocking is just one of our family bonding activities, from nieces, nephews, cousins, siblings, and even friends who visit and camp in this area.
