Good day friends, I hope you're having a good day.
It's now summer time here in the Philippines, my favorite fruit is now sold everywhere. Being a tropical country, Philippines is a perfect place for fruit bearing trees ,one of them are Mangoes. Mangoes are a bit pricey during the rainy season since only few are bearing that time. But during summer is when It has a lot of supply, making it's price a little pocket friendly.
This morning me and my wife went to the market to get some fish and meat. There we saw this green mangoes, we bought some. On the way going home I was already drooling just thinking about them, hehe. I'm so sorry I'm just a sour loving person. So when we arrived home, my wife cooked what we call "alamang" as a sauce.
Here is how it looks.
This sauce made of small salted shrimp, mixed with some tomato, garlic and onions. She also added sugar to reduce it's saltiness. This is a perfect pair for a mango since it's a little bit sour.
So when the sauce is ready, we just put it in the middle of the peeled mangoes. Also I forgot to include, to make it more tastier we also added some chili to the alamang.
I'm so sorry for the bites , haha. While I was peeling them I can help myself but to take a bite. To cut the story short , thanks to my wife I now get to enjoy this mouth watering fruit.
So how bout you , what's your favorite fruit. Or what fruits are found in your place.
This is it for me now, I hope I didn't made you crave for some sour fruits too. Thanks again for dropping by.
Have a good day, see you in the next one.
