





After spending the day hopping from one park to another, we were all exhausted, so we decided to take a break and grab a snack at Chocolate de Batirol. The restaurant is located in Camp John Hay, a former military camp, which is now a large golf course with hotels, restaurants, and open parks.
Since it was mid-afternoon, the restaurant was not too crowded, and we easily found a table. Unfortunately, we couldn't order the signature chocolate de batirol, so we settled for hot chocolate in individual mugs. We also ordered some mirienda food, including arroz caldo, suman, turon, and cheese bibingka.
The hot chocolate was delicious and exceeded my expectations. It had a distinct cocoa taste but was still creamy like milk chocolate. We spent a relaxing afternoon in the restaurant's lovely open garden setting, surrounded by plants, and filled with natural light. I imagine it would be even more enchanting at night with all the lights.
My mother gave the restaurant a high rating, and we all agreed with her. Afterward, we headed back to our Airbnb to rest before heading out to the Night Market.
