I’ve heard that in Japan, almost everything can be bought through vending machines. Whether that’s true or not, I know for sure that the Japanese are always ahead when it comes to tech stuff. Someday, I will find my way to the buzzing city of Tokyo just to experience ordering a bowl of ramen through the vending machine. I think it’s so cool to experience ordering food through it.
Yesterday, I noticed a type of vending machine that sells coffee blends. I guess the popularity of the orange juice and sugarcane juice vending machine has inspired the makers of Tao Bin to put up something that I would call a “Starbox”. I made it up. This vending machine looks like a Starbucks in a box.
It operates like any other vending machine.
Pick the blend of coffee or drinks that you prefer.
Insert the coins or bills or tap your card to pay.
And then check the screen on the progress of your coffee or drinks.
The cap and straw will be automatically provided on the tray that is found next to the window where you collect your order.
And here it is, a S$2 hot Americano in a few minutes of fun ordering.
There are other options for the drinks as well. There is a plethora of coffee, tea, and fruity drinks.
I’m quite surprised by the quality of the coffee and the packaging as well. Everything was well thought out and the procedure of ordering was convenient. I can see how this new vending machine will become a big hit in the city.
Everyone is busy and is always on the go in achieving the goals that they have for today. This vending machine makes it easier and quicker to grab a cup of coffee on-the-go as well.
