Dear friends of @cinnamoncupcoffe, I want to tell you that yesterday coffee brought us together for a pleasant chat. Usually in Cuba we don't meet for breakfast, we usually invite or be invited for lunch, dinner or share a drink.
I really like to share breakfast and that's how the actor Ivo Do Vale and I agreed to meet at Dos Gardenias, a bar-café, very simple, cozy and well-known in the city.
Everything was very calm, although I had already been to the place I was able to detail the decoration a little more. You can see photographs of the city and an exhibition of bottles of rum produced in Cuba.
On the tables there is a kind of vase containing some coffee beans, my first impulse is to taste one of them. After seeing the offer board, there is no traditional menu, so we decided on a Cappuccino and the croquettes that we knew were good beforehand.
Cappuccino is a well-known recipe based on foamed milk, coffee, cinnamon or cocoa, which we sometimes try to make at home, but in these machines with developed technologies because the foams and temperature make it much more exquisite.
The croquettes are very Cuban, some make them with meat, ham or bacon, these are made with vegetables. Our order was exquisite. perhaps lacking in decoration.
After a few minutes the place took on atmosphere, the young people shared their knowledge about technology and it was very pleasant to listen to them on their very interesting topics, especially sharing a coffee, while we talked about mutual friends' projects.
Our friends Iris and Acyris surprised us and they also decided to have breakfast with cappuccino and croquettes.
This Café Dos Gardenias was the ideal place to share a few hours on Friday. And since the name was taken from the song written by the Cuban Isolina Carrillo, I give you this special interpretation.
