Wedding on a sunday / Sublimesunday

Greetings.

After having a fun-filled Sunday, I decided it would be a good idea to use the post as my first publication in this community. So cool👌

Just as usual, the morning began with rushing to be in church before 6:45 a.m to avoid being tagged as a regular latecomer by my department.
It happened again,...as always, I got there at exactly 6:51 a.m and was trolled laughably.

I was supposed to stay in church until the end of the second service, but because I had to attend a friend's wedding in another city, I took permission to leave after the first service. I was allowed, although I was queried a bit.

I got home and changed into the outfit required for the wedding. Oh yeah, I was going to work among the groomsmen.

The city wasn't far, but not walkable either, so I boarded a bike instead of a car because using a car is a bit costly compared to a bike.

We got there after a 40-minute drive, and unfortunately, the groom, the bride, and their families hadn't arrived at the church where the wedding was to be held. I met the church in the middle of their normal Sunday sermon... because it's Sunday.
It was my first time attending a wedding on a Sunday; all the ones I've been to were on Saturdays.

I waited for about 40 minutes before they arrived. We walked in, accompanying the groom and bride. All the ordinances were done in about three hours, which was tiring for most of us, but we couldn't complain since it's the pattern of the church. There were a lot of talks that seemed somewhat irrelevant during the ceremony....that chopped a lot of time.

After the church service, we were taken to the reception venue, which was very far from the church. We arrived to find people crowded outside the hall. When we asked them, they said the inside of the hall was burning hot because there was no power to run the fans. The groom flared up upon hearing this because he had paid and saw no reason for the delay from the sound and light person.

After things calmed down, we took photos according to the Order of Photography. We were called inside to dance into the hall for the introduction of the couple. That was my last task as among the groom's men, so we did it perfectly, dancing without shyness. Oh my God! There was no shyness for me because it was a different city, and people knew me less there.

After that, we secured our table and began to look for refreshments. The caterers were snubbing our table, and each time I asked them, they said our food was packaged and kept. I didn't believe that, and I knew if I stayed quiet, we might not eat anything. So I got up, went to the caterer's stand, and made orders myself, and that's how we got food and drinks.

I got back around 4:30 pm, and it was a fun-filled Sunday.

Thanks for reading.
