Hello everyone, and welcome to another Hive Learners Creative Sunday Initiative with George Dee.
I stumbled on a delicious recipe online and was really curious about what the outcome would look like if I tried it out. First, I combined the ingredients together in my brain for my taste buds to process, and even before preparing it physically, I knew I was up for a fantastic treat.
Veggie-filled bread pocket is the name, and you won't regret trying out this recipe. It's simple and very cheap to prepare.
Ingredients
- Bread
- Eggs
- Fish
- Pepper
- Bread crumbs
- Carrot
- Onions
- Green beans
- Spring onion
- Groundnut oil
- Ginger powder
- Salt and seasoning cubes.
Procedure
I started with cleaning and processing my ingredients, doing all that would ensure the ingredients were good and ready for use.
- I washed and sliced the spring onions, onions, and carrots.
- I rinsed the green beans properly and put them aside too.
- I boiled the fish, removed the bone, and shredded it.
- I rinsed the pepper as well and blended it with a manual blender.
- I broke the egg into a container.
- I made my bread crumbs with two slices of bread.
After I finished with the processing, I moved on to the preparation properly.

- I turned a small quantity of groundnut oil into a dry pan and allowed it to get hot.

- I added the green beans because I needed them to get soft first; the carrot came in later, and I stirred them for about a minute on low heat.
- The fish came in later, and I continued stirring.

I added a seasoning cube, salt, and garlic powder and stirred further to prevent the filling from sticking to the pan.
Onion and pepper came in later. I allowed them to fry, but I didn't take my eyes off the pan. I stirred the ingredients continuously within a small interval.
The Bread Pockets
I flattened two slices of bread on a board with the rolling pin.

I cut out the edges of the bread and applied it to all sides with my small brush.
I dipped the bread into the bread crumbs and ensured the whole body was covered.
I heated some groundnut oil in a deep pan and gently placed the bread inside.
I flipped the bread after 10 seconds and watched the other side get swollen.
I removed the bread immediately; it had swollen, and I placed it on a clean plate.
I got my cutter and divided the bread into two to form two bread pockets.
I filled the bread pockets with the veggies, and this sumptuous recipe is ready.
I repeated the process for the remaining bread until I exhausted the veggies.
This recipe is perfect for breakfast, and I bet you will enjoy it with any beverage of your choice.
It's nutritious and delicious as well, so I think it's junk.
I really enjoyed it and will continue to enjoy it as my breakfast from time to time.
