Hello, community and friends greetings from India. Here is another Sunday and we are being creative about making posts in Creative Sunday the initiative from #hive-learners/ Today I will show you when you are alone and in a lazy mood how to create some easy and delicious Indian-style non-veg recipe with a few ingredients. Before traveling my husband went to see his grandchildren and I was alone at home, planning to use up fresh food stored in the refrigerator But didn't want to use hours and hours to make food so I did this quick recipe, my version of Indian chili chicken.
3 chicken breast
2 tbsp yogurt
2 small red onion sliced
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
5-6 sprigs of cilantro/coriander
1 tsp oil
2 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp tomato puree
3 hot green chili.
2 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric
cut between the chicken breasts and make them flat big filets to cook faster. rub 1.5 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric powder on them. keep aside.
Here we use some whole spices 4 cloves. 1 bay leaf, 2 cm cinnamon, 2 cardamom pods, and 10 peppercorns. Put them in a skillet. Add oil. when they start popping add sliced onion, green chilies, and ginger garlic paste.
stir it well. Add 1 tsp water to avoid burning.
When the onion gets translucent like this,
Set chicken filets in the skillet on top of the cooked onion. and cook at least 70% remove them and keep aside.
Add chili powder and tomato puree 1/2 tsp salt.
Stir for around 2 minutes. Pour 1 cup water into it. cook for 2 minutes.
Add yogurt and mix it thoroughly.
Add cilantro/coriander mix in the gravy.
Add 1/2 cup water. stir well.
carefully place the chicken filets into the gravy cover and cook for 3-4 minutes on both sides 2 minutes each. (our chicken is already cooked 70% so it is enough time to finish it.)before serving taste for salt.
here is the ready chili chicken. serve with rice or bread, chapati, naans, or tortillas.
