En el mes de diciembre, estuvimos paseando por el Ecoparque en Palermo, Buenos Aires. Es un lugar para disfrutar, junto a la familia, amigos y grupos, de un día de naturaleza. Allí convergen las plantas, los animales, la cultura, arquitectura y paisajismo. Todo en uno, además de juegos didácticos, caminerías y sitios para compartir un café, un mate, etc.
En vista de que hicimos todo ese recorrido, al salir estábamos agotados, y con mucho apetito. Como era día sábado, todos los restaurantes estaban abarrotados de gente. Caminamos un rato más buscando un lugar donde comer y sentarnos a descansar.
A Venezuelan style café in Palermo.
In the month of December, we were strolling through the Ecoparque in Palermo, Buenos Aires. It is a place to enjoy, together with family, friends and groups, a day of nature. There, plants, animals, culture, architecture and landscaping converge. All in one, in addition to educational games, paths and places to share a coffee, mate, etc. Since we did all this tour, when we left we were exhausted, and with a big appetite. As it was a Saturday, all the restaurants were crowded with people. We walked for a while more looking for a place to eat and sit down to rest.
Tuvimos que entrar a unas veredas a ver si había alguno con asientos y cuál no fue la sorpresa que encontramos un pequeño café, donde casi todo lo que se vendía era de origen venezolano. ¡Oh, sorpresa encontré un lugar donde podría mandar a preparar mis hallacas! Fue lo primero que pensé.
We had to go into some sidewalks to see if there were any with seats and to our surprise we found a small café, where almost everything sold was of Venezuelan origin. Oh, surprise, I found a place where I could have my hallacas prepared! It was the first thing I thought.
Esa tarde estuvimos en familia y pudimos degustar casi todo lo que nos recordaba a nuestra gastronomía. Confieso que todo estaba en su punto.
Las empanadas rellenas de queso, carne picada y carne mechada. Los cachitos de jamón, espectaculares, así como el jamón con crema de queso. Las arepas estaban insuperables. Y los golpeados, indescriptiblemente ricos. Además, del
cinnamón superespecial, con nueces.
That afternoon we were with our family and we were able to taste almost everything that reminded us of our gastronomy. I confess that everything was just right.
The empanadas filled with cheese, ground beef and larded meat. The cachitos de jamón, spectacular, as well as ham with cream cheese. The arepas were unbeatable. And the golpeados are indescribably rich. In addition to the cinnamon rol super special, with nuts.
Un gran dato, si tienes algún antojo, como por ejemplo de comerte algo tan típico como un delicioso golfeado, o un buen pabellón, pan especial tipo piñita, o relleno con guayaba, tan solo lo encargas y te presentas al día siguiente a extasiarte con esas deliciosas comidas. Porque además de tener una excelente comida, el servicio es de primera. Así que no te quedes con ese antojo. Solo visítalos.
A great tip, if you have a craving, such as eating something as typical as a delicious golfeado, or a good pabellon, special bread type piñita, or stuffed with guava, just order it and you show up the next day to be ecstatic with these delicious meals. Because besides having excellent food, the service is first class. So don't stay with that craving. Just visit them.
En fin, luego de probar todas las delicias, que nos ofrece este local, decidí hacer mi encargo para la cena de Navidad. ¡Las hallacas!, y la verdad resultaron mejor de lo que esperaba. Hasta me quedé con las ganas de repetir para las fiestas de este año.
Luego de ese día, si nos toca ir a pasear o hacer algún trámite, no podría dejar de visitar a los nuevos amigos que tengo, como la señora Maribel, quien es la encargada del waffles coffe.
Anyway, after trying all the delicacies offered by this place, I decided to place my order for Christmas dinner, the hallacas, and the truth is that they turned out better than I expected. I even had the desire to repeat for this year's holidays.
After that day, if we have to go for a walk or do some paperwork, I could not fail to visit the new friends I have, like Mrs. Maribel, who is in charge of the waffles coffe.
Los días que se me hacen largos, por razones de distancias y a veces las elevadas temperaturas de este verano, que no me permite trasladarme tan lejos. Pero les confieso, que sueño con ir a tomar un café; degustar las empanadas, el hervido de res, las suculentas cachapas con queso de mano.
The days are long, for reasons of distance and sometimes the high temperatures of this summer, which do not allow me to move so far away. But I confess, I dream of going for a coffee, tasting the empanadas, the boiled beef, the succulent cachapas with hand cheese.
A propósito de quesos, Maribel, nos ofreció una variedad de productos tanto para el consumo como para la preparación de nuestra comida, y entre ellos está, el famoso queso llanero, o queso duro, el que se usa para rallar. Asimismo, la botella de ron Cacique, Santa Teresa, todos de origen venezolano. Lo curioso es que además de malta, tenía los budares para cocinar las arepas y las cachapas.
Speaking of cheese, Maribel offered us a variety of products both for consumption and for the preparation of our food, and among them is the famous llanero cheese, or hard cheese, which is used for grating. Also, the bottle of rum Cacique, Santa Teresa, all of Venezuelan origin. The curious thing is that in addition to malt, had the budares to cook the arepas and cachapas.
The truth is that I have no words to describe the seasoning of those who cook all this delicious range of dishes. What I can do is to recommend the place so that you can enjoy the pure and native flavors of our Venezuelan cuisine. The service is first class.
