One of the obligatory stops during our stay in Bariloche was undoubtedly the Cervecería Patagonia. My travel group in the motorhome was a very fun one and we liked (quite a lot) to drink some alcohol, so the day we had scheduled this visit was one of the most anticipated. This emblematic brewery is located within the so-called Circuito Chico of the region, a circular route where you can see some of the most beautiful landscapes this city has to offer. Besides having a good time, you can taste something delicious: what more could you ask for from this place ❤️?
Una de las paradas obligatorias durante nuestra estancia en Bariloche debía ser sin dudas la Cervecería Patagonia. Mi grupo de viaje en el motorhome era uno muy divertido y nos gustaba (bastante) beber algo de alcohol, por lo que el día en que teníamos programada esta visita fue uno de los más esperados. Esta emblemática cervecería se encuentra dentro del llamado Circuito Chico de la región, una ruta circular en las que se pueden ver algunos de los paisajes más hermosos que esta ciudad tiene para ofrecer. Además de pasar un buen rato, se puede degustar algo delicioso: ¿qué más se le puede pedir a este lugar ❤️?
This time we travelled the Circuito Chico but most of the beautiful scenery we saw from the top of the bus. We spent our morning walking around the area, and when it was time for noon we stopped at the brewery to have some lunch. Although this place has a car park, a giant like our motorhome had to wait for us on the road. Of course it stole the glances and comments of everyone who passed by 😅.
Esta vez recorrimos el Circuito Chico pero la mayoría de los paisajes hermosos los vimos desde arriba del bus. Dedicamos nuestra mañana a pasear por la zona, y cuando llegó la hora del mediodía hicimos una parada en la cervecería para ir a almorzar algo. Si bien este lugar tiene estacionamiento, un gigante como nuestro motorhome debía quedarse esperándonos en la ruta. Por supuesto que se robaba las miradas y los comentarios de todos los que pasaban por el lugar 😅.
I had already visited this brewery in summer in 2022, but seeing it in its winter version delighted me. Although it was not abundant for this past July, there were still traces of snow in the nooks and crannies. The brewery's premises are quite large and include a merchandising shop, a restaurant, a semi-open food stall, a fully open food stall, outdoor seating and even glampings for overnight stays. It also offers a beautiful view of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and all its surroundings ❤️.
Yo ya había visitado esta cervecería en verano en el año 2022, pero verla en su versión invernal me encantó. Si bien no era abundante para este julio pasado, aún quedaban rastros de nieve en los rincones. El predio de esta cervecería es bastante amplio y cuenta con una tienda de merchandising, un restaurante, un puesto de comidas semiabierto, otro completamente abierto, sillones afuera y hasta glampings para pasar la noche. Además, ofrece una hermosa vista del Lago Nahuel Huapi y todos sus alrededores ❤️.
Only if you wish to eat in the restaurant is it necessary to make a reservation, otherwise the demand for the brewery is spontaneous. Cervecería Patagonia is a large company that distributes its beer all over the country, but as it is local in Bariloche, going to taste it at its point of origin is something you can't miss. There are several Patagonia beer gardens in Argentina, but none as elegant as this one 😃.
Solo si tu deseo es ir a comer en el restaurante es necesaria hacer una reserva, de lo contrario, la demanda de la cervecería es espontánea. La Cervecería Patagonia es una empresa amplia que distribuye su cerveza a lo largo y ancho de todo el país, pero como es local en Bariloche, ir a probarla en su punto de origen es algo que no podes perderte. Hay varios patios cerveceros de Patagonia en Argentina, pero ninguno tan elegante como este 😃.
As we went without a reservation, my fellow travellers and I opted to eat at the semi-open food stall. As their forte is beers and there was a wide variety of beers on offer, I guess food takes a back seat. On this occasion, they only offered a beef burger, a bondiola sandwich and a lamb sandwich for lunch. There weren't even any fries to go with it, but we were so hungry that we had to make do with that 😅.
Como fuimos sin reserva, mis compañeros de viaje y yo optamos por comer en el puesto de comidas semiabierto. Como su fuerte son las cervezas y había una gran variedad de ellas para ofrecer, creo que la comida pasa a un segundo plano. En esta oportunidad, solo ofrecían para comer hamburguesa de carne, sanguche de bondiola y otro de cordero. Ni siquiera habían papas fritas para acompañar, pero teníamos tanta hambre que tuvimos que conformarnos con eso 😅.
As for prices, well, being in such a beautiful and touristy place has its cost. This brewery has a token system for picking up beers and reusable plastic cups. For a glass you had to pay 300 ARS ($0.25) and it was yours, and then each pint of beer cost 6000 ARS ($4.5). This price is even more than double what it costs in other places, but being on holiday we all paid enough to indulge ourselves. As for the food, the beef burger I ordered cost 11,000 ARS ($8.5). That's a hell of a lot more than I ever paid for a burger and it didn't even come with fries, but what else could I do? I had no choice and I was already very hungry 😅.
En cuanto a los precios, bueno, estar en un lugar tan hermoso y turístico tiene su costo. Esta cervecería tiene un sistema de fichas para retirar las cervezas y vasos plásticos reutilizables. Por el vaso había que pagar 300 ARS ($0.25) y ya era tuyo, y luego cada pinta de cerveza costaba 6000 ARS ($4.5). Este precio es incluso más que el doble de lo que cuesta en otros lugares, pero por estar de vacaciones todos lo pagamos sin problemas como para darnos el gusto. En cuanto a la comida, la hamburguesa de carne que pedí yo costaba 11.000 ARS ($8.5). Esto es muchísimo más de lo que yo alguna vez pagué una hamburguesa y ni siquiera vino con papas fritas, pero ¿qué más podía hacer? No tenía otra opción y ya tenía mucha hambre 😅.
The Patagonia Brewery is a place I like to visit when I'm out and about in Bariloche, because despite its high cost, the beer is very good. I think this place has a privileged location in the region and that is why it is always quite crowded. I also loved seeing it covered in snow and even though it was cold, it made me want to go outside to enjoy the midday sun. This was the only day we drank during the day, of course all except the driver of the motorhome for whom there was a non-alcoholic beer option: responsibility first and foremost 😅.
La Cervecería Patagonia es un lugar que me gusta visitar cuando estoy de paseo en Bariloche, porque a pesar de su elevado costo, la cerveza es muy buena. Pienso que este lugar tiene una ubicación privilegiada en la región y es por eso que siempre está bastante concurrida. También me encantó verla cubierta de nieve y aunque hiciera frío, daban ganas de salir afuera a disfrutar del sol del mediodía. Este fue el único día que bebimos de día, por supuesto todos menos el chofer del motorhome para quien había una opción de cerveza sin alcohol: la responsabilidad ante todo 😅.
