Grape festival in Mosciano Sant' Angelo. ( ENG/ESP)

in Worldmappin5 months ago

Here I am Hivers, take you with me again on one of my trips, today we are going a little outside of Tuscany, in September there is a very particular and traditional event in Mosciano Sant'Angelo, I have a friend who lives there and it sometimes happens also if unfortunately for reasons of money and time I come down to visit you. This is one of the traditional festivals of the beautiful land of Abruzzo, a land full of history, charm, traditions and good food. The grape festival is an ancient tradition that has been going on for more than sixty years with allegorical floats, parades, joy and entertainment. It is a party also suitable for children because in addition to the grapes there are games and street artists, it is usually inaugurated by what they call "grape ladies" figures who precede the floats.

The festival, in addition to the floats at various races, tastings, obviously wine, food stands and various events. Behind there is also a legend, we talk about Frappiglia, a character from Abruzzo legends, a farmer who deceived the devil and who dresses in white and broken, it embodies the cunning and wit of the people of Abruzzo. It is a very beautiful celebration that impressed me both for the allegorical floats and for the truly cheerful, festive and at the same time traditional and typical atmosphere!

Wow, this kind of events are so amazing. I haven't had the opportunity to go to an activity like this yet.
I'm interested in everything related to wine. 😁
